Well I can tutorial on downloading brushes if you'd like. Brushes are the designs that you 'stamp' onto your graphic. your photoshop should have come with a few brushes. To look at your brushes, click the Brush Tool and then click the arrow at the top [It's next to your preview of the brush, which is next to the word "Brush" in the top hearder] You'll be able to see a whole list of the brushes that are already downloaded into your photoshop. Now, in order to download other brushes from sites, find a site with brushes you'd like to download [duh, ] 1. For example, this site: www.rebel-heart.net/brushes/2. Now get to the brush part of the page, and whichever brush you want, click the download button below the image. 3. Click the open option when the box asking if you want to open or save comes up. 4. After its finished downloading, the winzip box will come up. Unzipp it into whatever folder you want, and then go back to your photoshop window. 5. Click the arrow for your brush list again, and then click the other arrow in the list window, it should be blue. 6. It should open another list of stuff, now go down to "Load Brushes". 7. Browse through your folders to the folder you stored the brush. Open it, and now, it should have been added to your list. Whenever you want to use the brush, just click it, and then stamp it onto your graphic.

Sure, you can delete them once they're downloaded, but I suggest you don't. Sometimes Photoshop does this thing where it reboots itself, and it cleans out all the stuff you've saved into your personal photoshop.

I have so many brushes now, I'd never use them all in a million years. But I am going to have fun trying. ;D Thanks HF. I also have another question (I hate writing that) Is there anything in photoshop that works like something in my old antiquated program where I used to stitch/merge pics together. In photoshop when I'm doing a layout I just drag and drop another pic onto the background pic, what if I want two of the backgrounds to be merged. The main part of the pics merged in the centre but the two backgrounds still visable on either side. Is that understandable or doable? Heres an example of what I want to do I want the background of both pics to show at each end of the finished merge. My other program where I merged these two won't let me rub out or fade or any of that stuff like photoshop does.

I think I get what your asking. Simply take the two pictures and put them on a blank document that fits, merge them togather, and erase off the edge with the black boreder on the side to make it seem faded in smoothley.

Well, one way to manually borders like this: Is really easy. 1. Get your picture out. 2. Click the rectangular marquee tool [or press M on your keyboard] 3. Do the CTRL and A thing to select all of the canvas [Don't worry, it works with this tutorial, I tried ] 4. Right click and go down to "Stroke". 5. Select the color you want the border, and how thick it should be. 6. Click ok, and you've got a border!! For more effects with a border, try changing the Blending Mode to Overlay, Soft Screen, etc. Here's an example of an overlay border thats white:

That looks prettyful SS, very artistic like LoL No problem. Welll, I have no clue what I can "teach"...Oh!! I can teach you how to make the dream effect, which the finished product will come to look like this: 1. Open up your picture 2. Right click on its layer thumbnail in the layers window, and make a duplicate layer. 3. Go to Filters > Blu > Guassian Blur... 4. Make the radius to about 4.0 and click Ok 5. Now change the mode of the picture by using the drop down menu in the layers window, to "Screen". 6. And your done!!
