Best place to get one?Hmm see that really depends on you, all of mine are in places that I can cover or show depeing on my mood, My first one was on my left upper arm, which I can show off or cover for work as need be...thats something to think about though now tattoos are more and more accepted As for size Again that depends on your taste, and what you want, my cat tatoo is med sized and I have a small one on my stomach lol, though my guess is if you got juts something small you would after a while be like wow I coulda got something bigger... You find the best ones by asking around, ask everyone who has a tatoo that you like where they got it, go into shops and look through the tattoo persons book so you can get an idea of thier style, what they do, like my last tatoo its really detailied and fine and the guy I normaly get my tats done by isnt the best at that and he was really cool and told me to go to his freind Every state and place is different for costs, my first tat was 45 dollars and my last one was 300 so it all depends and as far as pain goes my tolerance for pain is out of this world ,so I cannot give you an honest answer, I really dont think it hurts at all, like the one on my back/hip hurt when he did certian spots but its a very tolerable, kind of pian, the thing I couldnt stand is the itching while it heals. I hope that helps at least a little, the only other advice I can give you is think on your design for a while as you will have it on you for the rest of your life make sure it means something to you.

I have a tattoo as well on the underside of my wrist. It's my first one and I just got it about four days ago. I found my tattoo shop on recommendation for cleanliness and cost. I drove about an hour to get there. A nice, bright clean shop is important to me. I don't like dens. Also, when you call, make sure that they use new needles for each customer and that all the artists are tested clean for hepatitis. Does it hurt. Hmmm. Well, as you say, I was pretty determined to get my tattoo, but I'll be danged if I'm getting another one. It did indeed hurt. Just remember to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth! And go to your mental Happy Place. Then again, the tattoo is on my wrist and they say that is one of the more painful places to get them. I had a friend who got one on her shoulder and she said it was no big deal at all. Like I said, mine is small and only took ten minutes to do, if that. But ouchie!!! When we were done, I looked at my artist who has tattoos all over his body and said, HOW DID YOU DO IT?? He thought that was funny. Glad I could amuse him. Oh, and mine cost $50 including a tip.

Aww, thanks you guys. It's soo good to get some real life experience on something as permanent as a tattoo, huh? You guys have all given great advice which I do indeed appreciate. I've got until March to 'shop around' so I'm not worried. As for what I'm gonna get? I know that as well. I have many friends with tats and I fully understand the absolute need to like what you get tattooed, because that thing ain't coming off! Thanks again for all your help. You guys are great!!

Well it's about time they gave this man some credit! I remember watching E! when the commercial for entertainer of the year came on. It showed all these flashes of nominated entertainers. Last of all, it showed Johnny Depp (right after Orli) for about a second longer then anyone else while the commercial said 'Who will it be?' So I sat there thinking "Ha! It's gonna be Johnny. No f**king way they can ignore him any longer."
And it is!

Yes, that's exactly what I thought while watching the commercial! Finally, Johnny seems to be getting all the credit he deserves. Makes me very happy.

ooh i was at this open house cuz my aunt is trying to move and the person had the 2 new entertainment weekly issues...and one of them was like called "Entertainers of the Year". hehe and u kno it! no magazine titled "Entertainers of the Year" is complete without johnny in it! since i really wanted to see what was inside it, i signed up fer 2 free trials and got into the site...this is the link to johnnys page: www.ew.com/ew/article/commentary/0,6115,564742_7||487231|0_0_,00.html ...well heres what it says about johnny: Disney's First Matey #3 Doesn't Johnny Depp know anything? Doesn't he know that there are two types of performers -- actors and stars -- and that he belongs to the former category? Actors appear in independent, impenetrable movies as dark, tortured geniuses. They are adored by critics and shunned by audiences. They live in France. They do not -- repeat, do not -- show up in movies with the name ''Bruckheimer'' in the credits. Especially not if that movie is based on a Disney theme-park ride. And yet there Johnny Depp was, starring in ''Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl'' -- and, almost as bizarre, he seemed to be having the time of his life. Depp's previous performances had a certain remoteness, but in ''Pirates'' he let audiences in on the fun. His blurry, slurry Jack Sparrow was an effeminate, self-dramatizing lush, but Depp played him with a wink, as if to say, ''Can you believe they're letting me get away with this?'' They almost didn't, of course: Some Disney executives tried to rein in his performance. Those same executives called to thank him as the film blew past $300 million at the domestic box office, becoming the year's most unexpected hit. ''I've felt for years that the moviegoing audience has been underestimated,'' Depp says. ''So with 'Pirates,' it felt good to get letters and phone calls from certain Disney executives who said, 'You were right, I was wrong.''' *NOTE*: Number one Entertainer of the Year is the LOTR cast....suggest you take a look u LOTR fans you! lol ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Johnnys been nominated fer best actor for "Pirates of the Caribbean" and best supporting actor for "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" fer a Global Satellite Award. "Pirates of the Caribbean" has also gotten a few nominations fer a GSA aswell. johnny's also nominated fer Best Actor from the BFCA [Broadcast Film Critics Association] - winners will be revealed at the Ninth annual Critics' Choice Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel on 10th January. Go Johnny!
