Ha! I have this soundtrack! Can't believe I never looked in here. I looooooove that CD. It's calming. It's different from every other CD I own. And it's from a Johnny movie. What's not to love? My favorite tracks are "Dido's Lament" and "Je Crois Entendre Encore (Yiddish Lyrics)." They're both quite lovely. And the greatest thing about the CD, is that the first time I played it, my mom came in and asked me what the smeep I was listening too. And then she thought I was weird for listening to opera.

Yeah my mum asks why I'm listening to The Tenors. I have to explain it a lot to her that it's from The Man Who Cried. Though she loves the music, so I'm not thought to be weird.

oh yeah.. I'm not that much with my parents these days as I'm living at school now.. but they wouldn't mind, they've heard me playing the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack soooo often. Although the music is slightly different, I just don't think they'd look up weird anymore

Woah! How long has this little fella been here? Uh, basically, this has to be among the most beautiful of all the Johnny Movie soundtracks. My favorite song is "Close Your Eyes." I just doesn't get much better than that, does it? Very moving. Very soothing. ;D

It's great isn't it? It's so different from the music most people hear every day. There's a lot of emotion in it, it fits the movie perfectly.. I really love it!
Close your eyes really is a great song. Great music! It always makes me shiver (in a good way) when I hear it...

Speaking of Close Your Eyes, do you prefer the song from the soundtrack or the original version with words? (i.e. the one that Vanessa Paradis has done a cover of -- of course that is why I bring up the topic ) Roo

Oh, I wish I had my laptop here.. I don't have the music here! I'd love to hear the cover Vanessa did! She has got such a great voice! I hate that it's so hard to get soundtracks of rare movies and such here in the Netherlands.. I'll try to find or download the cover later I'm glad you brought this to my attention! TM, what's your favourite song on the cd?

I only have a few of the tracks from this soundtrack and though I love them they make me so sad I can't play them too often! It's strange because a lot of my music is sad but somehow these songs just get to me. I haven't heard the original version of Close Your Eyes either, or Vanessa's version. I'll have to keep a look out for them
