Yeah, everyone and their cousin knows that line from PotC, but the question is... Is it in fact true?
Even though Jack was only on the island for three days, he could have abnormally long backhair. After all, why did he say "I peeled then weaved a couple o' palm tree leaves togther in order to make the rope, ye stupid boy! Don't ask so many questions! You'll get yeself killed that way, you know? "
So, I must've been true... Maybe. I dunno...
What do you people think?
Oh, and would you still like Jack if his back looked like a lion's mane? I know I would.

I think that Jack just likes being outrageous and having people believe outrageous things about him. We know the bit about the back-hair isn't true, but it makes a good story, and my take on Jack is that sometimes 'the good story' is what he'd much rather say than the truth. After all, the truth can get you in trouble. ;D

All I have to say is that it'd be REALLY GROSS if Jack had that much back hair. Blecch. He'd still be a cutie patootie, but.... ew. ;D 'Cause like, imagine for a second that you fell into the ocean and a shirtless Jack (okay, okay, I know the shirtless part would be the eye-catching thing, but for the sake of argument here forget about that for a sec)rescued you and when you gave him a hug your hands got all tangled up in back hair!! I think that if Jack had had enough backhair to make a rope big enough to harness sea-turtles, that it would have dragged him to Davy Jones' locker like Liz's dress tried to do. As for the chest-hair thing, Roo, I think Johnny just isn't a hairy guy. I think I read one of his quotes once that went along the lines of how he couldn't even manage to grow a proper mustache and beard. All he got were scraggly patches.  |

About the facial hair thing: Didn't Johnny's get toasted off when his face caught alight at a gas station in Florida that now prevents him from growing it properly? I dunno, thought I heard that on VH1's A2Z: Johnny Depp... Maybe I dreamed it! |

hate to burst your bubbles but its NOT true.
if you pay attention closley towards the end, when they were stranded a second time, he briefly told elizabeth how he REALLY got off the island.
He waited until the rum ships came to hide and replace the rum hidden on the island. at that point he caught a ride.
Besides johnny is too sexy to be gross! lmao
