I think Elizabeth needs an evil pet. (No, her pouty lips don't count. )

Psnoo, you crack me up ;D. She has Will (well, kinda...), did anyone else think he looked like a lost puppy when he saw her kissing Jack?

I don't think Will counts as an evil pet. The Commodore however has some possibility....

How cool were those fellas, eh? Both stupendous examples of timelelikes of which are very scarce in this strange, depraved age of sequels and prequels. But for me, mates, it was Barbossa all the way. I mean: the super hip curl of his dialogue and that classical pirate flare of his that just hits the star-studded bullseye every time!! Ish soooo rad. *noddles* ...and anyway, Davy stole my pop-the-lip routine. Ruzzum fuzzum... acursed mannerism-plagarism... mumbles...

Tough choice indeed... made doubly hard because we never see Davy Jones fight anyone!
If he and Barbossa really dueled it out, who would win? No telling. Davy just sends out his guys to do all the work. But... he sure can play that organ. And how cool is a diving pirate ship with a built-in organ?! I mean, Barbossa just took Jack's ship and tried to call it his own. Meh. Tough choice all around.

Who would win between Davy Jones and Barbossa? You talking a proper sword fight? Hmm...I reckon Barbossa has more dirty tricks up his sleeve than an unwashed magician but then again, Davy Jones probably can't be killed by a simple stab wound so it would be a bit of a titanic contest ;D Guess my money would be on Davy Jones, simply because of the whole 'you need to stab the heart' deal.

I think that in a sword fight davvy Jones would win...because he has the power to kill someone or let someone live whenever he wants...he like actually has some kind of super natural power...but Barbossa is just a mortal who happens to be a good fighter.

But Barbossa... has... that... apple... Nah, that's a bad point. Nevermind. Though, on another hand, you've got to realize that our lovely Captian B has already been killed once! He's been to World's End and back, right? "Can't be killed!" and all that. So His Royal Squidness is just wasting his sweet time with the Kraken, eh?

Davy Jones could take his heart out so that's kind of hinting at immortality and all the references to "I am the sea," is more proof positive that...eh...probably has a lot of power behind him, not to mention the Kraken. I don't think he's a god or anything, because gods don't tend to trouble themselves over gambling and debts and pipe organs (portability issues, that), but still, I think Barbossa would have a wicked time of trying to take Davy down, even excluding the minions.
Unless Barbossa stormed up to Beckett, stole Davy's heart and poked it a couple of times with a knife. Hector's so tricksy like that.

There's some good arguments in this thread, but I'm still a supporter of Barbossa. I mean, how can you beat the man who says, "Jaaack...Jaaaaaack..." He loves his vowels. And he loves being evil. And probably doesn't have a heart that would ever cause him so much pain that he'd cut it out. I doubt that Jones even sees himself as a villian - more like some kind of omnipresent (I am the sea,) quasi-savior/patron saint/devil of sailors who want to put off death for as long as possible. He's a used car salesman who doesn't tell you that the longer you keep the car, the more you'll start to look like it (like old married couples or old people with their dogs...)
Barbossa on the other hand, knows he's evil and doesn't give a smeep. Besides, I've listened to the Ted and Terry commentary too many times to see Barbossa as anything other than the anti-Jack, because he and Jack were set up to be the extremes of the same archtype.
(How many big words did I use in that? I need to go back to school or something where all those words will be useful.)
