Yes..that was rather short wasnt it...but for some reason Critics say it was too long and didnt get to the point...cant quite understand why..I would have loved if they would have shown Emily's death in more then a song..like actually show her alive..and what happened..you know.
I would have also liked to see Victor and Victoria's wedding...or atleast a little more of seeing the two together...

Yeah, I know. But it was still really good. The team of Johnny and Tim has done it again!

I finally saw it last night, and I LOVED it! I wish it would have been a little longer, but I suppose it was fine as it was. I don't really think anything needed to be added to the movie, but that's just me I just loved the music and coloring and everything about how it was put together.

I saw the film for the second time last night, and I actually cried. It is such a beautiful film. You know those kinds of movies you can watch a million times over and never tire of? Corpse Bride is one of those few... I don't know why but I've taken a very big liking to it... I've been listening to the soundtrack ever since the day I got it. I love the piano duet between Victor and Emily... it's such bonding scene and I love the piece.
Just a gorgeous film... I'm going to rewrite my review and put it here... but my goodness, I know I'm going to buy it the second it comes out on DVD.

Oh my goodness! I love in the beginning when we see the fish shop, and how they are effortlessly chopping off the heads, sliding the corpses, and doing another one. And the Butler with his nose straight up all the time I love it

Just saw the movie this afternoon. I liked it. I was a bit bummed that they didn't show some "action" at the end. I mean, would a kiss between Victor and Victora (Victor/Victoria! ha! ) have killed anyone? They're such a sweet couple. I thought Barkis' big death scene was a little understated. So much more could have been done. I mean, he should have been trussed up for Emily there. It was also kinda strange how quickly people got over hanging out with their dead relatives/spouses (Victoria's grandfather was a hoot!). I mean it was all, " 'ello, darling. Give us a smooch." Kinda freaky, even if it does tie in with the "kinder, gentler" zombie theory from the X-Files.

I just saw it a few hours ago and it was marvolous... (is that how its spelled?) Anyway... I loved it... My friend Tyler (who saw it with me) was confused about the ending... Like how Emily turned into butterflies.... I was like Oh my gosh Tyler.... Then my sister explained it to him...
Also LM&M mentioned this to me when we were talking about the movie in the car... Does anyone else think that Emily and Victoria could have been related? Because Victoria took all of her family's jewles and Emily's family was poor... Just wondering... Could they have been related?

Hmmm...Thats a good point Roxie I never really thought of that. But I suppose if they were that Victoria would have recoginezed her. Also that If they were infact related that The movie would have probably gone into that more.
At least thats what I think...
Good theory though..

I saw it at long last! ;D It came out today and I couldn't get to the cinema fast enough I thought it was a little slow to get going, and some of the songs I wasn't digging but other than that, I loved it Victor is so cute! And his piano playing is awesome I loved Emily and Victor's duet, how romantic was that? Poor Victoria not being allowed near the piano...I'm sure Victor will teach her now . My favourite parts were the duet and the end when Emily turns into all those butterflies (I love being able to see the butterfly shapes in her veil as it starts to happen). Evil, evil Lord Barkis! I felt so sorry for Victoria when she was married to him, she looked so unhappy. "Perhaps in disappointment, we are equally matched." She said something like that, didn't she? I'm so glad Victor ended up with her in the end.

FINALLY saw it yestaurday and adored every minute! Loved the almost nods at other burton creations e.g i couldnt help but notice how like Icabod Victor was esp at the beginning when he let the butterfly free much like icabod freeing his bird! Must say i thought it was all very creative and a huge success cant wait to see it again and loved the bit when the dead came back to their relatives lol sooooo funny the grandpa one was hialirious as was gertruade and alfreds reunion! "Well frankly my dear i dont give a smeep!" (something along those lines so glad i saw gone with the wind a couple of weeks before lol)

Loved the film & have to say that Tim & Johnny seem made for each other professionally; on exactly the same wavelength. A really endearing film although do agree with some critics that the score (music) could have been improved in places.
