Did some great work & most of the time on his own terms, as he did with his personal life. Such a shame that much of it turned to such tragedy & that at the end due to money problems he had to forgo his beliefs & work just for the money. Bet he is rasing a storm wherever he is now. Bless

Most people work just for money though, right? I wish critics and journalists weren't so mean about it when actors do the same, they've got to earn a living right? *sighs* I hope you're right Batty, I hope he's living it large somewhere

I couldn't agree more Lynx no one else gets so criticised for trying to earn a living except in the arts. People who are able to only do work they enjoy are very lucky indeed but seems they usually come in for the most criticsm & often the poorer salary as they are supposed to do it for "love" e.g nurses, teachers etc. Funny old world we live in,,completely crazy with peculiar ideas of good/bad/right/wrong etc
There I go showing my age again !!

Well said Batty I couldn't agree with you more. Maybe if we all do our bit to change what people think we can make a difference...it's worth a try, right?

May God bless his soul. Marlon was a great man. He was a great actor. And quite a handsome fella in his early years. MB, you're missed. RIP

So true & he had a tragic life, some say his own fault but I certainly felt for the man. Guess his last years were so sad & would not wish that on anybody. Hope you are having fun now Marlon

I know this is an old thread, but those were good articles LMM and HF and I loved the Johnny quote. I never knew a lot about him. He seemed really interesting.
RIP Marlon
