Upon watching the scene where the Horseman, his Horse and The Stepmom/Witch all jump into the tree to go back to hell, and when The Stepmom/Witch's blood spatters the tree and everything like that...you guys know the part I mean? Well anyways, when we watched it in English class, I had a very interesting moment.
Teacher: (to the class) Look at that shot. It's like some sort of...hellish birth. Me: Ew...no it's not. Teacher: (Sarcasm) No, it's not like a birth. I've only given birth twice. Me: But...it's not a...birth!
It was frustrating. That is so NOT a birth! *muttermutter*

That is ... wierd. Well, I can't speak from experience...but that scene did not remind me of a birth in anyway.

I'll tell you what looked like a grotesque birth, was when the Horseman first comes bursting out from the tree. I was like...ewwwww.
But, when they go in at the end? Nah, that wouldn't be like a birth. Maybe she was talking about the blood?

Wow...It took me about five minutes to recover laughing from that one, DD. Wow. The Tree of the Dead is a Uterus. I will never watch that scene the same way again.

All I have to say was that the opening of the tree was the most disgusting part of the movie. It really did look extremely...erm...oh, nevermind.

Yeah, those would be my words exactly. I'm pretty sure I turned from the screen at that point in time. --> and I'm pretty sure that was the face I was making.

Wow...interesting way of describing the scene...hmmm...well, that thought really never crossed my mind when i was watching it. I was like "I feel sorry for her", but that's about it.
Man, your English class is wicked exciting. If we ever watched Sleppy Hollow in my English class Sister Anne (my teacher) would have a heart-attack. Literally, she's like 59!
