Grrr, in my American History class we're studying the Revolutionary War and today we were focusing on the Brittish vs. Colonial fighting tactics, anywho when my teacher mentioned the Hessian mercinarys (I know I spelled that wrong) I was reminded of Sleepy Hollow and the Headless Hessian. I proposed that we watch the movie in class for the references to the Hessians but she said "No" and instead we are watching "The Patriot" grr the unfairness! After this I got no end of gref from my friends about being obsessed with Johnny Depp but I stick to my claim that I am not a rabid fan but as an aspiring actress, he is my hero! So there! Sorry for rambling but I just needed to vent some frustration.

lol yea wen we were talkin about pirates in science, i was like we should watch pirates of the caribbean!! but yea, u could figure what she said. see, our teacher was telling us how people assumed pirates wore eyepatches becuz they lost an eye, but why they were really wearing it was cuz they would use that eye fer sort of a "night vision" thing. since the eye would be so used to the dark, being hid by the eyepatch and all, they could flip up the patch in the dark and they would see prefectly clear. aint that cool? lol so yea we tried an experiment, by looking at this orange wall in our classroom, then our teacher turned off the light and lit a candle. everyone covered one eye, and stared at the light fer about 5-10 minutes while my teacher explain to us the history of pirates. then she told us to turn around, look at the wall, and lift our hands. wen we looked at the wall, it was like as if the lights were on, it was sooo cool. u should try it but anywho, yea ppl always tell me how obsessed i am wen i suggest to watch a johnny movie wen theres a slightest mention of something from the movie btw, u can just click the "modify" button at the top of yer posts to fix it instead of making a whole new post just to correct a spelling error all fixed ;D sorry, i was in a hurry, i was leaving for my cousins.tell me if theyre any more!

Twas a good suggestion to watch Sleepy Hollow...even if the Hessian reference isn't all that historical. It's all about Ichabod, eh? Whoa, HF! Watch the netspeak, darlin'! Remember those good ol' terms of service. That was a totally cool experiment your teacher had you do! I bet she's one of your favorites, eh?

No way teachers would have let us watch that. They are so strict! Maybe it cause I went to private school 4 so long. o0o that would be so fun 2 see Sleepy Hollow at school! But I dunno how the teachers would feel about the heads flying around...lol

Could be helpful for an anatomy class... That's about it as far as autopsies are concerned though. Could teach the scientific method with the whole Jon Masbath murder scene (You have... moved the body?) in any science class and of course English for the significance to literature... That's really all I can think of.

Hehe yea!!!! You learn never to move a body!!! ;D Cause if you were to come across a dead body and didn't have that knowledge and then movied it, you'd be screwed!!!! Why? Because.
