It is scary. Not horror-movie scary, but creepy scary because you're dealing with Jack the Ripper. So, historically, it's really interesting. But it gets pretty darn bloody in parts.

I used to get scared when watching, like, Beetlejuice ( ), but after The Ring, it got kinda hard to tug my strings so easily. FH gets a big gory, which is to be expected--after all, it is a Jack the Ripper film. But in my opinion, it wasn't too scary. You should be fine.

Ok, I'm not much for scary movies, but "The Ring" did not scare me at all. If I wasn't scared by "The Ring" will I be scared by From Hell?

Ever since I saw Fear and Loathing, that d*amn adrenachrome, not much has scared me more then what can actually happen when you mess yourself up with drugs. I didn't think the Ring was scary, I didn't think From Hell was scary. Of course it had sudden things happpen and some grossness, but not scary like you'll have nightmares for years about it.

I agree with everyone else, when I say this movie is bloody. But the only thing that scared me were Abberline's habits. I knew opium was bad stuff. He had to go and overdose. But nothing really scared me - and I'm a total weenie when it comes to scary stuff. It did make me a bit leery of the Masons, however.
