This is amazing, but I did not even know there was a book.
Now I must go read it, as I LOVE Gilbert Grape!!!
I wonder if the library will catch on if I check out both the movie and the book repeatedly....?

Oh smeep! The book is due back at the library! What am I going to do now? My movie has not arrived yet, and now I do not have the book to read. Will I survive until Christmas without Gilbert??? TuR

Ok I have a question for everyone: Did you like Becky in the book or Becky in the movie better?

Book I would have to choose, even though there was such a distinct age difference, she was much more believably Gilbert's type: gorgeous. Just what he deseves!
The Becky in the film, well, I didn't think she was pretty, perhaps closer to his age, but... I didn't like her much.

Me too BP!!! Juliet Lewis was a good actress...but she was not as I pictured she would be after reading the book. In the book she was awesome...I do wish there hadn't been such an age difference, but oh well. I love the movie anyway though!
