Yes, Psnoo, that mirror... and apparently we do know all about it. Heh. Well, now that it's broken, maybe... um... yeah, nevermind. Harry, you are such a dolt sometimes! Hmm... wonder who's got Sirius's mirror now. Now there's something to think about, right?

Prolly someone in the order or maybe no one at all possibly Kreacher but didn't they say he died or was that wishful thinking. It would be horrible if Narcissa got a hold of it then HArry fixed it and the Malfoy's knew all his inner feelings. Meep.

Which I just said in my long rambly paragraph. See I pay attention too. That's what I get for skimming. Although I think JK said that the mirrors were still going to come into play in the future.

You guys make me laugh! Remember when Harry was leaving Sirius' house after Christmas and Sirius gave Harry a package? Well, he didn't open it until after the broo-ha-ha in the Dept. of Mysteries, but the present was a enchanted mirror. Sirius included a note that said he had one mirror, the one Harry had used to be James', and that Sirius and James would use them to talk to each other when they had seperate detentions at school. Sorry! I forgot about that... Hmmm... I wonder if in some way he can talk to Sirius..... That was very sad when he remembered about the mirrors when it was too late.

It's a nice thought but I get the feeling Sirius will only play a role vicariously through Remus and Harry angsting on us. Too bad though. Anyone else hope Harry isn't so...erm...annoying in the next book?

I know exactly what you mean. When I started reading book 5, I was all "Harry's being a buttwipe." I'm just glad he got over it eventually.

Okay... As I've told you guys, I've been re-reading all the Harry Potter books. Right now I'm on the Goblet of Fire... and I got to a part that puzzles me. In Chapter Thirty-One it says:
I wonder about this because.... Hagrid was expelled like 50 years ago and was gamekeeper since then... I don't really understand.
This part also proves that Mrs. Weasley is older than Sirius, James, and Remus..... since the tree was planted when they arrived... which was sort of a duh.. since she has so many kids, three (er, 5 actually) that have left Hogwarts.

I think Molly is way older then she lets on because while Hagrid's been expelled for over 50 years he was young when it happened and wizards have a way longer life span. Take Dumbledore for example, he's like 180 and McGonagalls in either her really late ninties or early 100s and she's still pretty sharp. It just seems like Molly's young so there's a definate chance that she knew the old gameskeeper. And obviously Hagrid would know him and Bill is just kinda along for the ride.

I assumed that Hagrid did some kind of apprenticeship before he totally took over the groundskeeper position. After all he was only what...a second or third year when he got expelled? That's way too young to be the main groundskeeper.

Although he still probably was a bit intimidating, but does anyone really know what a gameskepper is? Is it a groundskeeper or what? And also that thing about being the keeper of keys....is anyone else confused about it. Because it's not like Hagrid goes around pruning the hedges or anything like that.

Oops...slip on my part. I meant gameskeeper. Not groundskeeper. THey are kinda two different things. Thanks for catching that, drouxl. According to my dictionary, a gamekeeper is "someone employed to protect and maintain game birds and animals," implying that they be kept safe until someone gets around to hunting them. You know...pheasants, foxes, that kind of thing. Except at Hogwarts they don't hunt their animals really, so I suppose in that case it's just seeing after the wellbeing of the animals in and around Hogwarts/Hogsmede. (Like in book one when Hagrid said that he needed to find the unicorn that was leaving it's blood behind. ) Which is the perfect job for Hagrid because he likes all animals, no matter how dangerous.

Well, by OotP, they've got three children out of school. Bill's like...25 or something?

I think that's about right. Bill is the oldest, but anybody else find the age gap between Charlie and Bill to be enormous compared to the rest of their children? Maybe they had another child or something. I dunno. It's a thought though.
