Well, in a couple of hours, I'm off to get my wisdom teeth yanked out. I'm very nervous, considering I've never been put to sleep before. I have to take a Valium soon to make me loopy, and then I'll go to the oral surgion and they'll give me an IV to knock me out. Then I'll be on Codiene til the pain goes away, as well as eating large amount of mashed potatoes. I was wondering who else has undergone this lovely process, and if you wanted to share stories or give words of encouragment. Thank you!

Haven't had mine out yet... My ex-boyfriend did last summer & he was fine... he said you don't even feel a thing or any worries at all.
But my current boyfriend said it was like the worse... Idk.
I wonder when mine will have to come out...

Hey Sweetheart! I hope you are doing all right. I had mine out when I had neck surgery... that is like a 5x whammy!! Just a few weeks ago. For 4 days I couldn't eat... but I am so sensitive that it is probably just me. But now I am doing great and can eat anything. It was not so bad in the end. How did yours go?? I'm praying for you, sorry I didn't see the post sooner!!

Thanks you guys I woke up at 6 am this morning, and felt like I was dyyyying. But other than that and the first day, it's not been too bad. I ate a few solid things today, and the swelling has gone down. I'll post some amusing pics eventually! Ouch, that does not sound fun, Roo! Arrrgghh, surgey sucks... Thanks again for the re-encouragement! ;D

I thought this was the most appropriate thread to post in despite the fact it's not my wisdom teeth that are coming out tomorrow, it's the four stopping them from coming out. I'm pretty darn terrified, how scary are dentists?! I could definitely use some JA support

So, I'm back...and wow, that was unpleasant. I did shut my eyes! Funny how reassuring the darkness can be. The numbness is just starting to fade now (and you're right, Roo, drinking is certainly a challenge when you can't feel your face ) and it's beginning to hurt but I just watched Pirates to make me feel better And I am going to take your advice and watch the Libertine later on ;D Thanks for the support, Roo

Ah wisdom teeth removal. I remember it fondly. Not. I believe I posted the story of my particular experience up on my F&L board but to sum up: watching the ceiling blur as they put me out and wondering why it was doing that, not remembering putting on my own pajamas afterwards....yeah fun times. I ate a lot of applesauce and pudding and ice cream and watched a lot of movies. Feel better, Jay! -Fiend
