Okay... just a few tidbits I have to share from my several viewings of this film! In the first scene when we see Cesar on the horse I can't help but notice how his butt is flying in the saddle.... And when he instructs his horse to bow... we can see the horse really didn't want to... (tail swishing and head bobbing) But my what a gorgeous creature! Completely white and HUGE! Fine animal! (I love how John T. says "ani-mAL")

Oh Roo, always analyzing every last detail! Like Ed Wood would say "it's not the little details but the BIG picture!"
But yes being a rider myself I did notice that Johnny has a few things in his stance he could perfect, but he was a lovely gypsy, very captivating!
His horse was stunning!

Cesar's horse is gorgeous! And ginormous! I love how white he is...but we horse people know its near impossible to keep them that white As for Johnny's riding...although there was plenty of room for improvement, I think he did great. He did a wonderful job, considering that he is not a rider. Way to go Johnny! He looks gorgeous on a horse, don't you agree?

Johnny looks gorgeous no matter what. But he definitely was good looking on the horse! I love how he's always willing to try new things... Very appealing!

Confession I know nothing about horses except what I see which is their beauty. I've never been riding or anything, except for those little pony rides when you're a little kid...Hopefully in May I'll be able to surprise my friend and take her horseback riding for her birthday-she loves it, but hasn't gone for years. Ok...back to Cesar's horse ;D Does anyone know what breed it is-or if it is even a certain breed?

Umm I'm not POSITIVE on what breed of horse we are dealing with in the film but I do know that he is gaited.... Definitely is a beauty! I will research into it though

I'm not positive either, but I would guess
Lippizaner (easily trained, all turn white when they mature)
or Andalusian
I may be wrong though. I am just basing this off of the screen caps I was just looking at. I would have to watch the film again and check out the horse's motion to make a better guess. ;D

Wow...well as I've already said I'm not very informed on horses, but I've never heard those breeds before...How much do those breeds cost? I would love to have a horse But sadly I can't even afford to move out right now lol much less have a horse

Oh dear.... that depends on so many variables! Such as pedigree.... training.... age.... temperment. I would say if we are going with lipizanner....... (although he wasn't exactly built as such.... I would go more for andulusian.... ) I would say somewhere around $20,000 - 50,000for a trained one as in the film. Very expensive breed!!

But of course! Nothing but the very best for Cesar! ;D

That's right, he deserves everything. If he can't have Suzie forever, at least a suiting horse.

I was thinking an Andalusian or a Lipizanner, too... The body was of an Andalusian, but the face didn't really seem to have an Andalusian shape. Perhaps it was a mix? I used to know a LOT about horses, but my knowledge of them has kind of vanished.
