If you look on the movieweb.com page for it, it says that one of the reasons it's rated R is for bizarre behavior. I personally find that hilarious. That IS hilarious! Bizarre behavior!? Talk about understatements... Man, this movie is one bizarro quote fest, eh? I'm gonna have to see it again...I just can't remember any of them!

How could that be a bad thing!? I'd say that makes you qualified to be Duke's Angel! Heehee! ;D I mean hey, I could quote POTC backwards and forwards for you...It would take 5 hours...but yeah.

LOL! I couldn't do that, CC, not yet anyway. But when the DVD comes out.....SOON!!! AHHH!!!! then we'll see. And yes, I guess that does make me qualified to be Duke's Angel. That, or utterly and totally obsessed with F&L.....hmm.....probably both. I can live with that.

LOL!! This movie is such a veriable wonderland filled with quotes, isn't it? I really like this one as well: Duke: "There's no choice. I wouldn't dare go to sleep with you wandering around with a head full of acid and wanting to slice me up with that god d**n knife!" Dr. Gonzo: "Who said anything about slicing you up? I just wanted to carve a little Z on your forehead. Nothing serious." I absolutely love the look of horrified innocence on Benecio Del Toro's face as he says this line. Priceless. ;D YEA!! MY 300TH POST!!!

Congrats, FF! I loved how Duke ended up with a little Z in his forehead anyway! I laughed so hard! What a scary-funny film!

yeah, that was freaking hillarous, "A z??" One thing though, I'm not sure it was real or not. Because if you notice, it was only on his forehead for that one scene. You didn't see it again throughout the rest of the movie. *shrug* With these guys, the line between drug trip/fantasy and reality is a bit...dimmed.

I noticed that, too. I wonder if it was just drawn on by Dr. Gonzo, rather than...erm...carved. Bleah!

I think it might have been just a figment of Duke's drug addled mind. Cause you know, with this movie, you can never tell.

Duke: You're not Portugese man." Duke: There's a big machine in the sky. Some kind of electric snake. Dr. Gonzo: Shoot it. Duke: Not yet. I want to study its habits. Officer: Are you saying, Mr. Duke, that you were attacked out there? Duke: Well...no....not literally attacked, officer, but seriously menaced. I stopped to piss, and the minute I stepped out of the car these filthy little bags of poison were all around me. They moved like greased lightning!Would this story hold up? That was from one of the many wonderful scenes that was in the book, but not the movie. Holy crap!! My 400th post and I didn't even notice!! *throws herself a party* Go me.

I don't know what it is, but it just kills me every time it shows the photagrapher saying "Kawasakis!"
It. Just. Kills. Me.
From the look on his face to the way he says it to the fact that they've got him in the midst of a battlefield. Just look at his eyes. ("Eyes?") Yeah, Gonzo knows what I'm talking about. I just fall over, stone dead.
Not to mention I love that quote Johnny says on the commentary of the criteron collection thing...Not to mention that's the only quote I've ever heard since Halia recorded that part for me cause she rocks.
"Ah, this was the day...that everyone thought I lost my mind.(...) Involuntary noises, oh yeah.(...) The noise I was making was a noise I heard Hunter make many times, and he can do it for a long time, like four minutes...without breathing." If "kawasakis" doesn't kill me, thinking of this does.
