Heh, me again! Here's some quotes, all by our dear Duke himself!! I absolutely love from this awesome movie!!!
"A drug person can learn to cope with things like seeing their dead grandmother crawling up their leg with a knife in her teeth but, nobody should be asked to handle this trip." -Raoul Duke/Hunter S. Thompson
"Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a Highway Traffic Cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the b*st*rd chase you. He will follow.
There's more I could post, but I thought I'd give you all a chance to post your own faves!!

ive pointed out before i hadnt watched this movie, but to contribute, ive went to www.imdb.com to pick up some quotes..... Raoul Duke: You can turn your back on a person, but, never turn your back on a drug. Especially when it's waving a razor-sharp hunting knife in your eye. Raoul Duke: One toke, you fool. Raoul Duke: You better take care of me Lord, if you don't you're gonna have me on your hands. Raoul Duke: Look, there's two women f**king a polar bear! [ ] Raoul Duke: Holy Jesus! What are these d**n animals? theres tons more but i dun wanna hog all the fun

Oh, H.F you should see it! It's absolutely fantastic, as long as you SEE IT WITH AN OPEN MIND. I cannot stress this enough. The movie is not simply a film all about doing drugs throughout Las Vegas. It's soo much more than that! ....sorry, I get a little defensive when it comes to this movie.... Loved the quotes!!!

Lordy I how I love that scene too!!! Let's see if I can do it from memory....
"We were somewhere around Bartsow, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying, 'I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.' Suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us, and what looked like giant bats all swooping and diving around the car. And a voice saying, 'Holy Jesus what are these god d**ned animals!"
Hmm....I think I did pretty well.....yeah, I've got much of the diologue stored away up here, *taps temple* perhaps I've seen the movie one too many times??? ..................NAH!!!! ;D

It's definitely different, and it's not for everyone, but I've seen it twice so far and I would gladly see it again! ;D

I think a 'hunting knife' is one you use on site to skin and gut...eww, the animals you've killed. You don't actually kill with it. That would be silly. ;D And yes you do indeed need to see the movie!!!!!

Here's another one I absolutely love. "How long could we maintain, I wondered. How long before one of us starts raving and jabbering at this boy? What will he think then? This same lonely desert was the last known home of the Manson family. Would he make that grim connection when my attorney starts screaming about bats and huge manta rays coming down on the car? If so - well, we'll just have to cut his head off and bury him somewhere. Because it goes without saying that we can't turn him loose. He'd report us at once to some kind of outback Nazi law enforcement agency, and they'll run us down like dogs... Jesus! Did I say that? Or just think it? Was I talking? Did they hear me?" Wow, pretty long, but oh so funny! You absolutely have to see this scene!! The way Duke says the last line is absolutely hillarious! As if he's completely unaware that it is he himself that's talking. Although, due to the large amount of drugs he takes during the course of this movie, I suppose that's entirely possible. ;D

Or unaware whether or not he's talking out loud! *snarf* It's amazing how everyone looks so bizarre in this movie. Tobey Macguire! I kept thinking, "Is that really Spiderman?" I felt like *I* was on drugs!
