Okay-honestly, I didn't care much for the fact that this movie was in black and white...however, seeing Johnny in a PINK angora sweater made me laugh! I also only watched it because Johnny Depp was in it. ta!

Hehehe. I can't help but giggle when I think of this movie. It was so full of dark humor, which is definitely my sort of humor. And not to mention that all of the Johnny/Ed quirks were so very nice. Loved them.
The only things that dampened the experience were that it was in black and white, that whole morphine addiction theme, and how Ed Wood's career failure was a true story. Being rejected for what you believe in is so sad.

You know, it's only sad if you're dissatisfied with your life. It's like, he got to make his movies his way, you know? Maybe that was enough for him, rather than only considering himself "successful" if his movies were financial successes. It does help to make the next movie to have the first one do well, but most filmmakers will never have their films widely shown. It's the way it is. You do your art because you love it, not because you're given kudos. It's a hard pill to swallow--I'm a writer and hope to be able to support myself by writing. But so far, I still have my day job. But I write. Because I love it.
I'd be curious to see a movie about how Ed turned out.

oh Wow that would be really cool to see!! I saw this movie last night actually for the first time cuase I got it for Christmas... and I LOVE it now... I laughed so hard when Sarah Jesica Parker's character opens the door up after reading the script and Ed is standing there in The Angorda sweater I must say he looks great as a blonde The extra's are also to die for... the microphone bit is so cute!! And I've always loved watching behind the scenes stuff... I find it very interesting And about the black and white... It was kinda annoying in the beginning but I loved it by the end... it brought the film back to the 50's more like it was supposed to... if it was in color it wouldn't have had the right 'feel' But I would love to see a pic of Johnny in color wearing that Pink sweater

I'd be curious to see a movie about how Ed turned out. Since he turned out as a soft and then hard core porn movie director, something tells me the movie might not be very appropriate. Anyway, I can't say this is one of my favorite Johnny movies. It just seemed very...choppy...to me. Like Burton was trying to imitate Wood's style or something. F&L made more sense to me as a whole than this movie did. It was fun to watch, but I probably won't see it again.

Oh dear, I love this movie. Johnny was just so over-the-top, it was hysterical... although that grin was a LITTLE creepy !! What always crosses my mind, which is a little silly because you can do so much with movie make-up nowadays, is how Johnny removed his teeth in that one Halloween scene. They've gotta be fake, obviously, but jeez, it looked so real!!

The dentures? Oh that is so the humor of our dear Mr. Depp. Cracks me up to no end! ;D They did look rather real... and his smile was like that of a dummy... CREEPY... but hysterical... Gotta love Tim and Johnny collabs!!

I think that Johnny put a teeny bit of Ed Wood into Wonka. Just a tad! And I can't pinpoint any bits 'n' pieces... I just think he did. It's hard to explain, does anyone understand? LOL Probably not...
Anyways, yeah. I love Ed Wood. It's so Tim and Johnny-ish, which ya gotta love. ;D It really captured those days... and Johnny's voice/accent was impecible! If I'd just heard it, without watching the movie, I'd think that the voice was that of a Hollywood director in the 50's. #yes#
Awesome movie. Love. Love. Love.
