Ok, as we all know, even the most faithful of screenplays are not exactly like the book. Things get changed. Things get added.
So, to that effect, this is the thread to discuss Stephen King's novella 'Secret Window, Secret Garden' (found in either Four Past Midnight or Two Past Midnight if you're looking). Were there scenes you liked better in the book than in the movie? This is the place to discuss that. This is also the place for questions, comments, and more than likely a bit of humor, so post away. Just try to remember this is the book thread, not the movie thread.

I read the story in less than 2 days, It was great, I mean, I expected to be scared, but it was okay. Great suspense and the ending kept me up on my toes and I was just like WOWEE! the epilogue was a bit of a drag though, but I guess it helped to bring things together, though Im pretty sure we all knew what happened at the end of the story point blank. Havent seen the movie yet, but i plan to see it by sunday no doubt, I am sorta hoping the movie is different than the story cuz, lets face it, the story was great but it could of been better, at least I expected it to be better.

If you've read the book, and know what happens in the epilogue, then this comment is for you: "Wow, that brings a whole new meaning to the term 'ghostwriter', doesn't it?" ;D

I hate cats, honestly, they scare me, I was asleep at my aunts house one day and woke up and all three cats were sitting on the bed with me staring at me with evil eyes like this and ive been terrified ever since. I hate shooter for hurtin the cat, but still, It was an interesting point in the story though, i was like WHOA, what did the cat do sheesh?

Yep I read the whole story just an hours before I went off to watch "The Passion of the Christ", where I jsut bought the book 9 or 10 hours just before that. I just loved it to much to put it down! Gah I was like / at what Shooter- or Mr. Whatever your name is [heh, Mort has a good sense of humor] did to him. I'm watching this movie in exactly 3 hours and 30 minutes!! CAN'T WAIT!!

I would be sitting there NOW.. I would.. but thanks to my stupid aunt, she cleaned out my wallet last night giving me some sob story about how she didnt have gas or money for groceries, so being the idiotic dimwit i am i gave it to her, the mean old.. (words i wont say) went out and stuff, worst of all she didnt even ask, she just took my money while i was asleep and then called me this morning so i said it was okay, then this guy calls and i answer and he says that she treated him to dinner and a movie.. i mean hello!!! so im broke and im stuck babysitting for the weekend, more than likely i wont get to watch it till monday.. im soo cutting class.. who cares I paid for it anyway

Hate to say it, but this is the book discussion thread, and we're a bit off topic. I hope that you eventually get to see it though, and I know you will, and I hope you survive until Monday.
