I would put the option of both on there, but knowingly more than likely everyone would choose both, so cmon.. make a choice

Ok, purist that I am, I must admit to liking the book a smige more than the movie. The book had more of the inside workings of Mort's mind, it gave better answers for his descent into madness, and I liked the ending better. Not to mention, that I could see Johnny in my mind's eye as I read it, so it was almost as good as a movie. Which isn't to say that I didn't adore the movie. I plan on seeing it for the third time next week, but I still have to say that the book is my first love . . . next to Mort of course.

Ack...I couldn't choose, so I had to go with "None". They're both good: The book for the very reasons SP stated, especially getting to see the inner workings of Mort's mind. The movie for the ending.
But choosing is too hard!

true that, the ending in the movie was... great lol. but most of the time in these cases, the book is usually better than the movie. I mean... as far as Ive realized. I mean a few examples being... The Outsiders, umm The SHining etc...

While I have to say I liked the book I just have to go with the movie on this one. Simply because I liked the ending better and well....I like my visuals. Not that I couldn't see it in my mind's eye I just like actually watching it on screen! ;D

I chose the book because like Psnoo said, it showed more thoughts from Mort, and I understood better. But the movie is the next best thing, if not, closer than "next". But for the ending, I perfer the movie version, it gave off mroe chills

What I find rather ironic is that the movie ending seemed a bit more Kingsque than the book which is....just a tad bit odd, eh?

I agree with SS. and JDKB Johnny may be in the movie, but I have one of the best imaginations imaginable, so lol, I saw Johnny in my mind the whole time I read it, I mean, Robe, no Robe.. whatas the difference?

Oh, fudge...I'd have to say the book. Even though Mort dies in the end...I enjoyed it more. But I still love the movie more than like...ermm...well, obviously the book. I think I liked the book better beacuse I pictured Johnny in my mind (like you guys), throughout the WHOLE book in ALL the parts...if you catch my drift...tee hee hee....

I just really enjoyed the chance to see into Mort's mind and follow his thought process, which as David (Koepp) has said, is pretty much impossible to do well in a movie. I also like that in the book, it's a matter of Mort conjuring up something that really punishes him more than anyone else. Another quote from David (apparently Stephen said this about the characters in the script), "I like this. Everyone is a rat b*****d." Which is true, which makes the movie more about revenge for infidelity than personal revenge for plaugarism.
