Okay, since sooo many of you don't know why Johnny sang it or where he got it from, (yes, I'm old ), the song is called "Chico and the Man" and was the theme song to a 1974 TV sitcom of the same name. And for posterity, here is the theme song for your listening pleasure! ;D www.sitcomsonline.com/sounds/ChicoandtheMan.wavHe doesn't start singing until about halfway into it, fyi. And here's a great Chico website, if you're curious. freespace.virgin.net/laurence.horton/chico.htm

Hehe yea, I had never heard of the show or the song, but I saw "Chico and the Man" at the end credits and stuff, so I was like "Wow, that was a song?"

Ah thanks DB! I've seen the show or pieces of it (yes and I'm of the young generation ) but didn't realize that the awesome line of Mort's came from the theme song! Interesting! Now the other song...I realized that line was from a song but never heard it before. Anyone with a sound clip from that?

Runs after the young'ns, shaking her cane...Come back here, ya whippersnappers! Anyhoo...I didn't realize that other quote was a song either, the "beautiful house, beautiful wife" one. Very interesting. Pops SP one upside the head, and gives JDKB a noogie.
