I think dollars are a very big factor in getting people to see this movie ILJ, plus the fact that you can't get it at a rental place, because its not in general release in the US.

*SPOILERS* Ack, I finally recieved my DVD from amazon.uk and oh my gosh, I thought I was gonna have a heart attack because I thought I wouldn't be able to watch it. You know how it's a region 2 DVD? Well I found these codes for DVD players to change them to w/e region you wanna, but when I tried it on all 3 DVD players in the house, it didn't work! So I finally just decided to see if it wuold work on my computer DVD player, and it did!! ;D I just finished watching it and jeez, what a masterpiece!! Every scene of Rapheal and his son, Frankie, was just priceless, like the part when they were at the supermarket, and when Rapheal was talking to Frankie at his "hiding place", after Rapheal had found out that -fergot his name- came and attacked his family while he was out. I also loved the scene when he was making the mini carnival for his kids, and he would run into his trailer and look for things and Rita would be like "What? What is it?" and he'd answer "Nothing! Nothing!" LoL, and when they were fighting over the cord for the TV And what a brilliant ending, I was at tears by that scene. Such a cliff hanger, yet you know what happened and such. Overall, I'm glad I bought this movie and had a great time watching it, I loved it ;D I appauld so so much for Johnny on this one

Yeah HF, good to know you got it to play, really scary ordering things off the net and just keeping your fingers crossed that they'll work.
I loved all the character relationships in this movie, they were all so good. The guys name you were trying to think of is Luis. Too many really funny bits in this movie to mention, but I loved them all, my fav is the bit with Raphael and Marta when she's on the trampoline. Love the wrestling with the goat bit and Iggy Pop eating the gigantic turkey leg. By the time Raphael had reached the priest in his walk I was a blithering mess. I agree, movie magic.

it's one of johnny's harder movies to locate... but well worth the hunt! check ebay often.... it's there quite frequently.... and reasonably priced! just don't get scammed by buying a dvd that won't work in your part of the world my mom did that... kel

We found The Brave on ebay & find that the best place for hard to find movies. Doesn't he look so gorgeous in this movie? As always of course but I found the subject matter so upsetting, think originally they had a different ending anyone know about that? Can't bear the thought of what they were going to do to Johnny.

I read that the screenplay written by Johnny and Dan was totally different to what we saw (gruesome was the word I think they used) Johnny and Marlon holed up on the last day of shooting and the ending we got was the result of that day.
So much better leaving it where it ended.

Oooh, they were going to have a different ending? How interesting. I was already freaking out at the end of the movie anyway so god knows what I would have done if it had continued

Yes... that would have been awful seeing more at the ending... I'm just glad they didn't do much torturing to him during the film. That kept me at ease... because when my father and I were reading reviews on IMDB about it being a snuff film my dad was like "No" ...He's easily persuaded though... which is good!... because there was no obscene killing... or anything... REALLY... I mean... some but... eh... he got over that! lol.
