(OOC: Ah, the pressure! )
"We've just been hiding. Men came to the house," Jay said as she attempted to smooth out her wild hair, "Seems someone has angered the King to such an extent that there is now a warrant for me to be arrested as well."
John, who had been searching with some urgency through the cupboards, had the good grace to look a little guilty.
"Really," he said, "How was I to know that one little murder would cause so much fuss? No one liked Louis anyway!"
"I hardly think that's relevant," said Jay shortly. She shook her head, crossly, then turned to Star.
"I see you found Plan 10." The little robot bleeped and Star beamed happily.
"Had to threaten the monarch to get it, but at least we're all safe," said DeeDee, with no small measure of relief.
"For now," added John darkly.
"Yes, and exactly who's fault is that?" Jay snapped getting to her feet, "Really, John..." She suddenly felt the eyes of DeeDee and Star on her and decided that shouting could wait until later. "Alright," she said, "I think we'd better find somewhere to lie low for a while. The Academy would probably be a good place, yes, at least Charles won't be able to find us there."
"Ah ha!" said John triumphantly. He had just found an unopened bottle of wine. Furiously, Jay strode over and snatched it from him.
"Right, is everyone ready? Let's go!" And with a flash of imagination, Jay, John, DeeDee, Star and Plan 10 found themselves standing in the Academy living room. John, who had somehow managed to wrest the wine off Jay on the journey, sunk down happily on a high back chair. Star began to giggle.
"Well," said Jay giving her former kick a hug, "Thanks for a lovely adventure. Maybe next time there'll be a little less blood and a little more laughter."
"Can't promise anything," said John from his chair. Jay ignored him.
"I'd better get back to Gilbert," said DeeDee, "Who knows what he's been getting up to since I've been gone."
"And I promised Ed I'd sneak in to see him," said Star, her face rather pink, "See you guys later!" And both of them disappeared.
Jay imagined herself two glasses and walked over to John's chair and was about to sit on the arm when John pulled her onto his lap.
"You didn't really kill Louis, did you?" Jay asked as she snuggled closer.
"Not this time," said John, "But it got us here, didn't it?" Jay grinned and clinked her glass with her Johnny's.
"Yes, it did," she said happily, "Let's drink to that."
