Oh yeah, I'm definitely hard to live with so I'm living proof I think JMB wanted to include her but couldn't (I know how that feels too!), and so they drifted apart probably right from the word go. They were certainly not right for each other and I don't think they could ever have lived happily together without JMB giving up his writing or Mary giving up her spirit .

Which ultimatley happened right. I mean JB didn't even get his writing spark until well after Mary and he were extremely strained in their relationship.

I guess you're right. He needed something to kick start his creativity and clearly Mary wasn't doing that.

Poor Mary she was cool I liked her clothing and I really felt for her towards the end. Funny casue I didn't very much care for her at all in the beginning.

I'd say neither, they weren't right for each other, that was obvious, they more like bestfriends. You could tell she cared for him, especially in the end, but I didn't feel she loved him the way he needed it.

Actually wonder if he was very interested in "adult love", rather more of a romantic who wanted "pure" love perhaps? Definitely something of a child at heart for sure.

James and Mary were so different from each other, he had such a playful nature and she seemed to be the complete opposite, she was serious. It was sad how their marriage ended and I hate how she cheated on him. I wonder what Mary was like before.
