Ok, seeing that I'm not very observant, this might have been asked before-even possibly by me-but if not, yea! Has anyone seen/loved the show House? It aires on Fox on Tuesdays at 9 eastern. It's a marvelous show about a doctor who doesn't like patients. Ironic, no? He likes their problems, and likes solving their problems, but doesn't want to hear about their lives or deal with them in anyway. If people were just their problems he'd be a very happy man indeed. Dr. Gregory House is played by the talented British actor Hugh Laurie. Check out my siggy for pics. So...anyone else? -Dr. Fiend

Hello Fiend! Yes I have seen this show. My mum hates it as House has no compassion for those he works on. But I think it is a fascinating series. And how they take you inside the human body is just amazing! He is such a smart doctor, but I missed the very first episode, so why does he have the walking cane? I never understood what had happened to him.

Heee. Another House fan!!! ;D ;D Ok, explanation time. As far as I can figure, he has a cane because he had something like a heart attack, but in his leg. Part of the reason he has such a bad limp now AND part of the reason he's determined that everyone else lies, especially doctors, is that-as far as I can surmise-he went to a doctor himself and told him the trouble with his leg. Needless to say, the doctor gave him a faulty diagnosis, and after time he lost most of the use of his leg. Hope that made some modicum of sense. Enjoy the show! The teaser for next week's episode is driving me crazy! I like, want to see it now!! lol. Alas. -Dr. Fiend

I saw this last night and holy carp how funny. I mean, not so much the problem with the kid and all and the very end, but that House is really very amusing. In my mind. The sneezing on the instruments was ingenious. It looks like I came in at a mighty dramatic episode, but better late than never they say. Yeah, I'd watch it again. ;D

Yea!!! A new House fan!!! ;D ;D ;D Ok yes, the whole sneezing on all the surgical instruments thing was a stroke of pure Housian genius. He does stuff like that all the time. He's very tricksy you see. Also, he knows he's the best doctor they have so he doesn't get worried about what will happen to him if he just speaks his mind and does whatever the hell he wants. It makes him more than a bit of a jerk, but my how funny!! And yes, that was one hell of a dramatic episode that has been looming in the distance ever since practically the second episode. (We haven't been calling him the "Pill-Popping Doc" on the official boards for nothing...) But dear me if that just doesn't make him even more interesting.... Glad you got hooked, Arenas. Now I can have someone else to rant to on Tuesday nights. -Fiend

I also got word that he was rather mild that episode compared to most nights. It'd be understandable considering the circumstances, but if that's not terribly bad, I think I'd develop a complex if I had to work with him. I'm comfy just watching him. Is it Tuesday yet?

Yeah was a little off of his game last episode. Going through Vicodin withdrawal has that effect... Or so you know, I assume. But don't worry, I'm sure that now that he's won his bet and gotten back on the pills he will be the sarky, annoying, sometimes sadistic (if he gets better, we were right. if we kill him, we know we did something wrong. whoops. our bad), doc we all love to hate soon! ;D And yes, "Is is Tuesday yet?" that was my cry all throughout last week as I was waiting for the Detox episode! lol. Well I'm certainly glad you like it, Arenas. It's a wonderful show! ;D -Fiend

This is a REALLY great show! I've been following each episode since it first aired, which wasn't that long ago. I love House's sense of humor... It's sarcastic and dry, yet still hilarious. I really liked the episode where the old woman had Syphilis (sp?)... That was great, haha.

Roo-Hugh Laurie has been in many other films, mostly either British-since he is-or children's films. For example, he was in the British series Black Adder-only the third and fourth seasons and the last two episodes of the second-the british series Jeeves & Wooster, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and a few others. Movies, he's been in...a few British ones I haven't seen, The Man in the Iron Mask, Stuart Little I & II and the new movie Flight of the Phoenix. He's been in others surely, but those are the ones I know. If none of those have struck a chord, lemme know and I'll be more thorough. _depplove! A new member! And you're a House addict like me! Splendid! Nice to have you with us! -Fiend

Yeah, I'm a House-addict! Wait... STUART LITTLE? Wow. I wouldn't have expected him to be in a movie like that... But yeah, I think I kind of missed the episode a few weeks ago that was about a lady that was addicted to cocaine... Or was she? I don't remember... Can somebody please fill me in about that eppy?

If that was the episode "Poison" I missed that one too. Not all is lost though. Check out www.fox.com/house/ for official episode summaries. And yes, he was in Stuart Little. He played Mr. Little. -Fiend

Hmm, the name of the episode about that woman at the rave is named "Histories". Interesting. And wow, I just realized that I've seen a lot less episodes than I thought...

Ah yes. I did see that one. That was a good episode, but not as good as the one before it-DNR-and the one after it-Detox-which was on last week. I have only missed just the one episode though, so I count myself lucky. And, like every show-if it lasts-when the season ends, it'll be shown in reruns over the summer. We hope. -Fiend

Hey guess what, my fellow House fans! It's Tuesday!! And you know what that means!! New Epsidode!!! Yeaa!! *and there was much rejoicing* ;D I'm excited. It looks to be a very angsty one. ;D And the "Due to violent content, parental discretion is advised* before each recent episode is always a good sign. I will be back later to discuss it in length. -Fiend
