Hi,
Any True Blood fans here? It is an awesome show! Much better to me than Twlight. Sorry fans, but if you like Twlight I bet you'd like this too. The author is Charlaine Harris and she has many Sookie novels (her heroine) So far the series follows her 1st book. I am completely in love with Bill and Eric. It is a more modern look at vampires but still has classic elements.

Issy I've read 4 books in this series so far, I didn't know it was made into a TV series as well. I wonder if we will ever get it on TV here in Oz? Who plays the characters? ~SS~

Issy, thanks for the link to the website, I read the blurb for each episode and they have padded quite a bit, especially Jason and Amy and Eddie, that wasn't in the books at all. (Jason was questioned for murder etc but the addiction to V and blood wasn't.) I'm only up to Book 4 in the series 'Dead To The World' but Sookie has saved Bill from a former girlfriend who tortures him with voodoo and then she does a job for Eric in New Orleans, so these episodes should appear in TV Series Two because thats what happens in book two and three. I guess they had to leave a fair bit out because books describe way more detail. Love the books but the TV series looks amazing ;D Heres a pressie for you, just couldn't seem to stop myself I will look forward to the DVDs as well ~SS~

SS, Thanks for the pressie!!! Your welcome for the info! The addiction to V does make it intense and makes Jason look like an idiot. It is a little unbelievable though, but it had to be somewhat different right? It is an awesome show & who knows I may get through the 2nd book by the time season 2 begins.

TV-14? Ha! Definitely MA. It's got smut and vampires. And well, more smut. I recently got hooked on this show. I knew about it when it first aired but I wanted to wait until it had finished the season before watching it all marathon-style. Yeah ok, I loved it. ;D Bill can bite me any time he wants. ;D I have not read the books however. Are they worth reading? -Fiend

A lot of Weres and Witches in Book 4 Eric loses his memory due to a spell and Sookie just can't help herself (because she's protecting him at her house as Bill has departed for Peru and they've split up) Showtime Movie News has a clip on TrueBlood tonight, so maybe they are showing the series on Showcase The books are quite good Fiend, much more detail though with lots more story sides. I've put in a request for no5 Dead as a Doornail, hope its good. ~SS~

Next summer?! ARRRrrrrgh! That's almost (but not quite) as bad as the wait for the second half of Battlestar Galactica's final season. Ugh. Ok. To the library then! Also, for all you TB fans out there, check out my livejournal banner merrie987.livejournal.com/ Arenas is made of so much awesome for making it. ;D -Fiend

So who is watching? Eric is getting a lot of screen time and I am loving it!!!! In fact if anyone can make me a banner/wall set of Eric in season 2 I'd love you! I'm still working on the 2nd book. A book of Sookie short stories will be out in October [6th] and a new novel will be out May 2010.

Just watched the first ep of Season 2 last night, my daughter rang in the middle of it in a crisis so, I will have to watch an encore ep sometime this week. Finished Book 9 in the series called ' Dead and Gone ' and I can definitely tell you there will be a book 10, she left it so up in the air and left us readers hanging by fingernails She better be writing it RIGHT NOW. (Is there a foot stomp smiley?) ~SS~

SS,
Loved the 2nd Season! It just ended on Sunday. I also want season 3 but it probably won't come until next Summer. There will be a 10th book in May 2010. There is a book of short stories coming Oct 6th called A Touch of Death.
