I went to the midnight release and... Just... Wow. I was like "it'll be like Harry Potter movies" meaning it'll be good as a movie but knowing will just make it kinda suck. But then I saw it and I just love it. Book to movie usually sucks but it was so amazing. It was very well done. I absolutely adore Jasper And I'd kill to be Alice ^-^ Anyone else see it yet? (I need to go to the mall for more Twilight merch.)

Queen! I saw the midnight too, oh my god I LOVED IT as well. Seriously the only complaint I have isnt really a complaint, cause I know she had to dye her hair for the movie..but Nikki Reed does not look good as a blonde. She did make a good Rosalie though =]

*prepares to run from the angry mob* I have to say, I did not care for the movie. Well ok, that's a bit harsh. I enjoyed parts, especially the scenes with Bella's father, but on the whole my response was "eh." I did not care for the actress who played Bella at all. She seemed untested and too amateurish for the role. That being said, she has potential. But I didn't think she showed much of it in the movie. I might have liked Bella's character better if they had included some of what I thought were the most telling parts of her character in the book: the fact that she yells at Edward every time he runs with her and that she faints when she kisses him. I was upset that those parts were missing. They seemed key to her character in the book. Edward was alright I suppose. In a teenage heartthrob sort of way. In the end what I liked most about the movie was the story itself and well, the books do that better. -Fiend

*prepares to run from the angry mob* We won't lynch you for having a different opinion Fiendy I thought the actress that played Bella did a fantastic job of her part, just the right blend of naivety and innocence to draw me into the magic of the movie. Charlie's scene with the shotgun just before he met Edward was perfect. I really wanted to see more of Alice and of Jasper but I guess I'll have to wait for the next movie in 2010. ~SS~

I thought the movie was pretty good, though I definitely enjoyed the books more. I must admit though, I am kind of a crazy Eddy fangirl. And Rob was yummy. *blush* The movie was well done, and I thought Edward and Bella had great chemistry, but some parts just made me laugh out loud. Like when Bella walks into the science room... Edward's reaction? I almost snorted with laughter. And in the end, in the hospital, Bella's spazzy reaction to Edward possibly leaving... my sister started laughing like crazy, I punched her a little, and then ended up mercilessly making fun of that scene outside of the theater. Granted, if I were in Bella's shoes, I'd probably be a little spazzy over Edward too The next movie doesn't come out until 2010??? Aughhhh.

I went to see Twilight today! ;D I loved it ;D ;D ;D I think I was the oldest person in the cinema. Everyone cheered when the movie began and the reaction to Edward's appearance was almost frightening . I agree with Rollie that some parts were very funny but I liked that. My favourite part was the baseball game. They did that really well and the fight scene was brilliant too. I thought it was very faithful to the book and the cast, on the whole, did a brilliant job. I think Carlisle and Jacob stand out for me as being unlike the versions in my imagination but maybe that's just me . Gotta say though I didn't fall in love with Edward in the books and movie Edward fared no better...is there something wrong with me?

We won't lynch you for having a different opinion Fiendy Speak for yourself... Juuuuust Kidding, not everyone can like the movie. I mean, I don't like Harry Potter movies.. We just can't expect them to put every little thing in there. I went in expecting it to be not as good as the book so I wasn't disappointed. While it's not the greatest movie of all time, it was still really good. I though the part where Bella gets her truck was just a perfect example of how she and Jake are perfect for each other (and Edward just gets in the way *flinches away from Team Edward*) because they're both clumsy and Bella hits him with her door. They better keep Taylor Lautner as Jacob for New Moon or I won't want to see it, and it's my favourite of the series! SS, I want more Jasper/Alice too. Jackson is such a cutie. (My boyfriend likes Alice too. xD ) I think it was amazing how well it was brought together without much of a budget. *Disclaimer* I am not Team Jacob, even though New Moon is my favourite book... I'm Team Switzerland... I refuse to be affected by disputes between mythical creatures.

I saw it during a weekend home. I'd never read the books, but I knew the premise and heard reviews of the books. I have to say, it was kind of amusing in the 'what is this?' way.
I think I liked Charlie the most, because he was ironically the most human character. He had the most vivid personality for me. I was a bit disappointed they stopped with the whole sparkly!vampire thing after the initial reveal. That was a bit lazy.
Alice is cool people. As is Mrs Cullen. And Billy.

I finally saw it the other day!
I saw it before I started reading the books, so I didn't really know what to expect either. I really liked it though! I found it to be so short and I wanted to see more. I just started reading the book and it's good so far. I can't wait for the next movie - and yes, they need more Alice and Jasper and Emmett and Rosalie.

I've changed the title of this thread to The Twilight Series so we can include all the movies, so has anyone seen New Moon yet? I haven't but I've heard great things about it so I'm actually kinda excited to see it now.
