Sorry for the delay in posting a poll. This month's is would have Sweeney married Mrs. Lovette? That's what she wants but would Sweeney gone through with it? I say maybe. I have a soft spot for her and think she has good intentions. What do you think?

No, I think he should have stayed faithful to his first love, Mrs Lovette was too scheming for Sweeney for my liking. ~SS~

I also think he would've stayed faithful to Lucy. He didn't have those kinds of feelings for Mrs. Lovette.

I think Mrs Lovette happened to be in the right place at the right time. She was useful and she helped him exact revenge so he liked her and was grateful but I don't think Sweeney really felt anything romantic for her, certainly not in the same way as he felt for his wife. Besides, even if they had married it would never have worked! Sweeney is really more ghost than man and I don't think that would have been conducive to a long and happy union.
