Here you can tell me if you read the book this film is based on and what you thought of it. You can discuss similarities or differences between the book and the film or anything else that comes up.
Another interesting book, recommended by Johnny Depp himself, is Dillinger; The Untold Story by G. Russell Girardin and William J. Helmer. I'd be happy to hear your opinions about this one too.

Jay, the book recommended by Johnny is only about John Dillinger from experiences recorded by his family and people who knew him good. Quite interesting and it gives you an insight on Dillinger's character and how he was regarded by his family and peers.
DeeDee, you're right, the Burrough book is about the birth of the FBI. I loved it too, very informative and not trying to show anyone better or different than they were. I do recommend the book to everyone who would like a good read and a historic background and reference.
My only problem was the adaptation; the script is miles away from the book, so why do they even bother mentioning it in the titles of the film?
