I saw Sleepy Hollow and it was only Rated M-15 +. *shrugs* I didn't think it was that bad gore wise,
and this coming from someone who you would never EVER have gotton to watch a movie about people getting decapitated.
I actually thought sleepy hollow was 'a harmless chick flick' AT FIRST (thats what all my friends had told me) so when mum hired it out and I realised it wasnt, I still watched it just for Johnny.

Personally i think it shouold have been PG-13, because when it comes down to it, the gore looks fake almost. I am not saying Tim Burton isn't an amzazing director cuz he is and i love him (sorry that was ) But the sex scene was brief...and almost looked like heavy making out to me lol but anyway...it did take a while for me to be allowed to see this movie ;D

ok here is my view: the idea of people getting their heads chopped off left & right is not what i would call a pg13 type of movie. Even if it does look fake, its the whole idea & seeing it actually be cut off thing. (And keep in mind this is a slightly older movie, not alot, but slightly. things change in society) I know a person under 17 can handle it pretty well, cause my sis has seen it and she is 13. I just think it has 2 many scenes with chopping....EXPECIALLY when the little kid that gets killed. Have you ever seen a PG13 movie where you see peoples(& childrens) heads getting chopped off? Well the sex thing is not an issue, if it just had that it could easily been pg13. lol dont get me wrong this is my 2nd fav movie, & ive watched it SO many times that i am immune to it, but others are not, which makes it a sensibe decision to rate it R

Very good point. I agree- that scene where the little kid sees his mother's head. *shivers* That's reason enough for me!

I was just going "Awwww!" at that part. And then I started kicking the TV when the horseman walked outside with the bag. But then..I restrained myself...I love Christopher too much to do that I actually think that society really has grown from back than..I guess...heres a secert: I've been watching rated R movies since I was 5

LoL lucky you.. I was aloud to watch movies like that around the age of five, until I was about 9, and my brother and I were really into power rangers and we pretended we were the powerrangers and we went to my grandpas house and tore up all his plants cuz the cactus (that my grandpa had been growing for over 25 years) were the bad guys, so we chopped them up, after that Mamma made the rule, no rated R movies until I was 16 IF i was able to handle it.. As for sex scense and stuff, im 18 and she still says "cover your eyes" joking now.. but yeah.. I mean if you think about it it could be rated R, but I dont know Im still against the R rating, I never thought about the little boy, yeah that kinda gets me I think that would be the reason for it to be an R movie.

Yeah, I don't know. The part with Ichabod's mom (in that coffin thing) is pretty harsh, and the whole little boy thing is too. I really don't know though, but I'm thinking it probably should be rated R. *shrug* OMG Hannibal really freaks me out. There was this point in my life *cough2monthsago* where I was so paraniod because i started reading Red Dragon. I dunno why, I guess it just creeped me out how realisticly horrific it was, not like ghosts or anything. Like they explained in detail how he picked the lock to a house and went in and killed all the families. And you know what REALLY seriously CREEPS me out? It's based on a true story. I've decided that Hannibal Lector is the center of all fear. *shiver*

And you know what REALLY seriously CREEPS me out? It's based on a true story. I've decided that Hannibal Lector is the center of all fear. *shiver* I second that... As much as I LOVE the stories and the books and the movies (that ive seen) I do think, he is the one villian, I just.. utterly fear.. I mean it is complete and utter fear I have when I see him... (( i still love him Sevvie, I dont want you to think I ever would)) but I think christopher walken is a pretty scary guy as well.. I mean homeboy is like WHOA, in almost all his movies, he just has the all around scary guy face.

until I was about 9, and my brother and I were really into power rangers and we pretended we were the powerrangers and we went to my grandpas house and tore up all his plants cuz the cactus Haha i just think that is so funny....killing the cactus! lol reminds me of when my friends & i would do the same thing. All of use wanted to be the pink ranger....child memories are so wonderful. Is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre a true story 2? We watched the old one the other day & it said it was based on a true story....ewww im not fond of sickening stories that really happened. Fake I can handle, but when it really happened to someone... o0o Christopher walken is great! lol i never really think of him by his movies, I always remember the SNL's he did & that one music video where the whole video was him going through a house & dancing around. Hmm...I wonder what that band was called?? I cant remember but it was hilarious!

Weeee I just saw it!!!! I actually thought it did deserve the R rating, but not for sex! THERE WAS NO SEX! Well kinda but they didn't show anything... but there was a lot of gore and Christopher Walken scared the crap outa me. So I'm sticking with R.
