Well, it depends on whoever tells you what For instance, I've only been scared of 3 movies, count them, 3. not bragging for anything, but I don't get scared easily, so Secret Window nor Sleepy Hollow were even closed to being scary. Secret Window is more of a thriller than a horror anywho, so comparing Sleepy Hollow to Secret Window would be kinda hard. Sleepy Hollow isn't that bad, jsut a few drops of blood here and there [looks fake too, and I have a feeling thats what Tim was going for], some heads being chopped off [also looks fake] and some jump-out-your-seat moments, like in Ichabod's dreams. So there really isn't that much to be 'fraid about, love, I doubt you'll get scared
But it's always better to get more than one person's opinion

I agree wit HF. There may be a few moments here and there that will make you jump, especially if you scare easily, but I don't think there's much to worry about. It's not The Ring or anything like that. I see it more as a mystery than horror because it's more about solving and stopping the killings than blood and guts.
And if it does get too scary for you just keep focusing on Johnny and forget the rest of the movie. ;D

I thought the witch was scary the first time... That was about it... She is cool after the first time... This movie isn't really scary at all... just a little blood..

Now I think the difference is to do with the fact that Sleepy Hollow is fantastical & quite unreal & improbable so all the blood & gore doesn't count for much whereas Secret Window one can see how something like this may just happen. It deals with the human mind & shows how it can degenerate with stress etc & this I think is really scary but I have to say I enjoyed them both so much & didn't really find either of them scary. Just MHO for what it is worth.

Heck yeah, that movie was scarier than Secret Window! And it wasn't just the gore, either. I mean, that movie was SERIOUSLY frightening. *shutters* I'm scared to watch it again.

Hm...I thought Secret Window was much scarier. I'm usually really scared in the most lame movies but I never found Sleepy Hollow that bad (although I have to say the witch part made me jump quite badly the first time). It might have been scarier if I saw it at the cinema like Secret Window though

I get scared pretty easily and like I was scared of Secret Window when I saw it in theatres but only then and only the first time and same with Sleepy Hollow, it was like mostly it was just kindof jumpy...but Johnny's character kind of helps you ease into the movie and be comfortable because he is pretty funny....so I think you'd be fine

I gotta say that my beloved Secret Window was definately a bit creepy, and I love creepy movies, but I never found Sleepy Hollow to be scary. Or creepy. I was laughing and giggling my way through it from start to finish. At times it was nearly corny (and I mean that in the nicest, most delighted way possible), and so very, very melodramatic. I loved it. Absolutely loved it. Even the squicky, blood-squirting parts. ;D
