Maybe it was the absinthe indeed! That green icky stuff would do weird things to anyone! Bastard friend of mine decided to take a rendezvous with the green fairy and liked it. And he used to drink nothing!

What? How? That stuff is illegal pretty much everywhere! And it's only produced in a handful of places! How on earth did he get some?

Yeah, I'd like to know that too!! I did a report on Absinthe, making and drinking of it, for a class, no actual first hand experience was had, I assure you, and yeah it's pretty well illegal most places. Though, I suppose as with anything illegal, you can find if you know where to look and have the money with which to acquire it. I am sorry for you and for your friend. Absinthe is bad stuff.

Rough stuff that is. Though I wonder what they used to simulate Absinthe....green kool-aid, perhaps?

See Absinthe itself isn't all that bad, in the movie and as was common practice with a lot of opiate addicts he added Laudnum to the sugar cube which was a highly potent Opiate used to treat headaches back then LOL!

I saw this movie about 2 weeks or so ago...and personally I hated it. Very disturbing actually. The good part though was seeing Johnny of course ;D

Wow, if I remember correctly, I didn't like the movie as a whole at first either. Johnny as Abberline though... Need I say more? Now, after purchasing it and subsequent numerous viewings, it's grown on me in a big way. I admire the directors' complete attention to detail though, and the fact that Abberline can see the future is just nifty! ;D

What? How? That stuff is illegal pretty much everywhere! And it's only produced in a handful of places! How on earth did he get some? Jay has a friend who went to Oxford and brought it back from London. He said he liked it, so I whapped him upside the head. Methinks he tried it because he thought Kylie Minogue was SOOOOOO hot in Moulin Rouge!

Maybe I'm just weird or something, but I really, really liked it. I thought it was high class talent [short of Heather Graham... ick!] and I loved the style of it and everything. Maybe that's why I was the original Abberline Angel.

I loved From Hell. I thought it was excellent, although the conspiracy confused me a wee bit the first time I saw it. Now about 50 screenings later I think I've pretty much got it down-pat. The cinematograhy and setting of the film was very dark and moody, while the acting was superb (though, I have to agree with most of you, Heather Grahm was awful...), and it kept me on the edge of my seat. Wow. Great great film.

Yes indeedy. Poo to Heather Graham. She seems to disappeared off the face of the earth though, so I guess it's all good. Johnny was pure excellenece though, per usual. I absolutely Abberline!!!!
