So I've noticed the subject being discissed around the board, so let's give it it's own thread. Do you have any tattoos? I can't spell the word, grrrargh! But do you have any, and what are they of? Did it hurt? How many do you have? Tell us everyyything!

I don't have one yet, but I may get one when I turn 17...in two years. If I get one it'll be small. I may even just get the same tattoo as Johnny; the number 3 on my hand. We'll see. ;D

Well I just got my first tattoo about a week and a half ago...and I'm in my thirties! ;D Took me a while to decide I really wanted one, I guess! Mine is small and on the underside of my left wrist. I must say I was inspired by Johnny to get the tattoo near (not on, tho) my hand. I just wanted to be able to see it myself. It's very simple and small, one color--dark red. It's the shorthand symbol for "I love you". When I was a kid, mom always wrote that in shorthand on the napkins in my lunches or on notes. She still does. So, it's kind of a tribute to me mum. I'll post a pic of it when I find my USB cord for my digicam. Yes, it did hurt. I recommend getting a small tattoo to start so that you can decided if you can tolerate something bigger.

Once I'm in college I'm getting one on my left index finger, the right side of it. It's a small red heart with a black outline. I draw it on myself all the time, so why the hell not, eh? Not to mention I've got a pretty high pain tolerance as it is. I get fillings without needles only because I'm terrified of needles, and I'm totally cool with it. Yes, I know tattooing involves a needle, or more then one, but by the time I'm in college I'm sure I'll have built up my tolerance and gotten over my fear. And I'm going to start by giving blood when I'm old enough. Yes, once I get over that smeep fear of needles...

Well, it's definitely not the same as the getting-a-shot needle. It doesn't go in very deep. It's more like a burn sort of pain. It's worth it in the end, tho! If you really like what you're getting.

Oh, I've been burned before, many times. Take last night for example, lighting candles and accidently holding my finger right inside the flame for a bit before realising that it was burning me. I'd definately do that for a tattoo.

I find tattoos so interesting that I just have to get my own! First I decided to wait for my freshman year of college to get one. That came and went, so now I am going to get my first one in March after I turn 21. Kinda like a memento of my b-day, ya know? I'm excited, and after christmas I'm gonna start saving up my money cause tatoos are frickin' expensive! As for the pain, I'm a wimp when it comes to pain, but I will make myself go through it for the tattoo. So, take that, pain!! As for what I'm gonna get, I wanna get an oriental dragon on my left ankle. I've always loved dragons, so it seems like a winner. I also plan to get at least one more, but I hear tattoos are addicting. I just hope I don't end up covered in them!!

I technically have five... though one of them I did myself when I was like 9 or 10 ys. I have a celtic knotwork butterfly between my shoulder blades. It is about 4.5" x 4.5". I also have a celtic knotwork crescent moon on my right ankle and a cletic start on my left ankle. I also have my name done in Korn font on my lower back. The one I did myself is on my inner right ankle bone and its a 1/2" heart that is not very good, LoL. I can put up pics if you all care to see my montage.. and their meanings if you'd like. Remember, never get a tatoo that has no meaning. You only get it covered with something else later. Also, as to what it feels like.. ever have a sibling or friend trick you into sticking yur tongue on a 9 volt battery when you were a kid? It feels just like that.

I technically have five... though one of them I did myself when I was like 9 or 10 ys. Ouch! Wouldn't that hurt? 9 or 10, that's craaazy! Awesome, but slightly crazy. Why? Remember, never get a tatoo that has no meaning. A lesson I learned from the trapeze director at camp. We were like best friends, and she has about 12 tattoos all over her body (ive only seen 9, so you know...heehee). She drew every single one of them out for the tattoo guy to do, she'd never get some meaningless smiley face or something like that. -DaDi

I want one, but I have a fear of needles... so... I dont think its gonna work much for me, but if I did get one, Id want a four leaf clover with a J13 in it.. J because almost every guy Ive liked names start with a J.. and 13 cuz its my lucky number... but I dont know... Like I said, im scared of needles, I was 14 when I got my shots for school and I cried, my mom had to hold me down ... so yeah... ill stick with rub on tattoos

Theres one tattoo I'm 100% sure I'm going to get when I'm 18, and its this one: It symbolizes strength and determination for me. I've wanted it for a pretty long time. I'll either get it on my upper left arm, or on my lower back. I havent decided yet. I'll probably also get a small tattoo on my ankle, not sure what it'll be yet. Possibly something written in Tolkien's Elvish. I think that Elvish is extremely beautiful and calming. -Heather

I'm getting a tattoo next year as my grad gift to myself hehe. I really like Jack Sparrow's tattoo, but i would only get the sparrow, not the sun in the background.
