I was always really fascinated with Ralph Steadman's work and would not mind getting one of his trademark bats when I finally get the means to have one done. Not sure where yet, but they just look super awesome and ambiguous enough that it could stand for anything really.

i dont suggest getting a johnny tatoo because you may eventually not want anything to do with him. i know that it is jst wrong to say that but it might happen. if you get something johnny then it should have a double meaning.its jst a suggestion because they are permenant and it is suppose to be very painful to get them removed and they dont always come all the way off!

Yes, I've been told that many times before, and not to sound corny or all stupid fangirly, but I'm pretty sure even if I won't be obsessed when I'm older, I'll still be fans, if not only a little. It's happened to me like that with Eminem, when I first found out about him, I couldn't get enough. Then the teachers were a bit..."scared" about my obsession, and sent me to the guidance counseler. She helped me stop obsessing over him, but a few days later, I was right back to going zany about him. I've got this problem of not letting go, so that'll be a bad factor in relationships Ah well *shruggs*

Hehe, I remember when I was in the Caribbean, outside our hotel was this little resort thing, where you can get hena tattoos, water slides, pools, and go to the beach. When I was getting a henna tattoo, I was looking through the tattoo book, and they had one of a Sparrow type bird, holding a scroll of paper, so on the paper part, the lady wrote "Marshall M. and Johnny D." I was pleasently pleased, I didn't even ask, she just kinda noticed my obsession after my ravings about them

Took me awhile to find this thread again, took me even longer to get a pic of my tat, but finally, here it is. It's a winged black-and white dragon on my left ankle. It's about 4 inches high, give or take. I got it...2 years ago, I believe. -Fiend

Oooh! Fiend, it's beautiful ;D I've always wanted a scorpion on my lower back but I'm having trouble finding a place that I'd want to have it done!

Ahh Fiend that's so cool! ;D The second I turn 18, I'm going to get two: the Korean writing of "Tae Kwon Do" on the top of my foot, in honor of getting my black belt (I should be testing a few months before then), and a few music notes on my chest/heart, because I plan to go into vocal music education in college, and it's such a huge part of my life now, and always will be. I'm kinda scared of getting the TKD one on my foot, but I figure, after all the pain I've gone through while training, in comparison, that isn't as bad... plus, it's on my foot.. where I kick..

Jay--you'll find your place, don't worry. ;D And scorpians are very cool. If I hadn't gotten my dragon I might have considered something like that. But I LOVE dragons. ;D Rollie-sounds brilliant! It's good to get tattoos with a meaning rather than just for fun like most people do. That way, 20 years from now when you're looking down at your foot you hopefully won't be wondering "why the F did I get this stupid thing?" -Fiend

Hahahaa, exactly! ;D
How much did you tat hurt, Fiend? I've become a lot more pain-tolerent this year, though I'm still kinda nervous. Especially for the foot one... gah.

Rolllie- believe me when I say it, I am an utter wuss when it comes to needles and pain etc etc (i'm still too chicken to donate blood) but I managed through my tattoo just fine in one sitting. I'm not going to lie and says it doesn't hurt, heck yeah it does. It's an inked needle being dragged through your skin. But it was by no means unbearable. I didn't need novacaine or large doses of alcohol to deal, just the will to keep still and not wince too much. It helped that I really, really, really wanted it. Hope this doesn't scare you off! Starfire-awesome! I didn't get mine til I was 22. -Fiend

Thanks, Fiend! Ok, after thinking more about it (I still have a year and a half, so who knows what I'll decide then, lol) I would possibly still like to get the two I've been planning on... however, if I do only decide to get one, I have another idea (I'm getting this no matter what): A few weeks after my teacher/friend was killed, I got to keep her lotion that she let me use sometimes... sorta a sentimental thing. One night I was "talking to her" (I figure if she can actually hear me, that's wonderful, and if not it still helps me deal), and I smelled the lotion when I was done.. so strongly, yet it was closed, across the room, and I hadn't been using it. I don't really know what to make of that, but the point of this story is... on the lotion, there is a small picture of lavender flowers, and I want to get those somewhere. They will be in honor of her, as well as a promise to myself that I will never let a man, or anyone for that matter, treat me for less than I'm worth. Tiny pic... If you can see, the flower in the middle is what I want.
