It was a total work of art, I love it to death I am so glad it was in black and white, that really set the tone of the whole movie. The humour was really warped and perfect. I find something new that I haven't noticed before everytime I watch it. I think I need to read the script... was this movie based on a book?

Yeah i agree it is a great film. But i think it only appeals to people who want to think while watching a film as it is not a lighthearted film, this one you have to watch , ever second to grasp it all. Did some research and no it isnt based on a book.

This movie was w-eird! I did love the black and white though. Man, I'm a sucker for black and white... You know, I bet this is one of those things that takes repeated viewings to 'get it.' Maybe I should watch it again... But first impressions were 'it's weird.' The opening bit in the train was just torturous! Which I imagine was intended... to make us feel what William was feeling. Ugh, and it sure sets up the sort of tone and feeling of the whole movie... this sort of 'eh' feeling. I don't know how to describe it. But I give kudos to whomever picked/made that awful plaid suit! I loved the juxtaposition of that hilarious, almost clownish suit, with the dreary awfulness of Machine. He was a fish-out-of-water from the get-go.

This movie was very slow moving, but now, watching it for the 2nd time, it has become more interesting for me. My friends and I were like woah!!! at the cannibal part, that was freaky but hecka funny in the wee hours of the night!
Ya black and white is cool, and it goes perfect with this movie!
