I love the way Johnny played George. Even though he did a lot of terrible things, Johnny made us realize that George is still human, and it is a very touching, honest performance.

I rented this movie again the other day because I haven't seen it since it came out. It made me cry because I recently moved from Boston to Virginia and he did such a good Mass accent that I got really homesick. Hes goot at accents!

Yeah, Johnny is very good with dialects. I've lost coundt of how many conversations about that very topic GiGi and I have had lol! His performance in this film makes me cry, especially at the end. Poor George.

Me too! I felt so bad for him in the end! He was out of it. He was starting a new life. He had a chance to do things right. Then one little slip-up, for good intentions mind you, and bam! Life as you know it is over. For good.

I gotta say, it was a bit of a shock to see the real George right at the end of the movie. I was like, "Who the heck is that?...OH!"
Truly, the guy made his own bed. I'm still shocked that he couldn't bring himself to get a regular job in order to be near his daughter. So sad.

Oh man, i cried at the ending too!!! But, I guess if you do the things that he did, you're gonna have to pay a price someday. Unfortunately for him, he's still paying it. And will continue paying it for a very very long time.

It was very sad, especialy because in the end what drove him BACK to it was his longing to be close with his daughter. Sadly when you are used to making that kind of money and so fast it is addictive and you cant really get used to having a normal 'job'. After re-watching this movie I know why I dislike penelope cruz she was far too convincing in that role!

Oh, I completely agree with your thoughts on Penelope Cruz, 20th C.G. She does do a scarily good job. Poor poor George. And the little dialogue at the end of the movie saying that he still hasn't seen his daughter just broke my heart. But again, he's paying the consequences for what he did. It's sad, but it's life.

To cheer myself up over thinking on the poor life Georgie leads now, I'm posting this picture, which just amuses the hell outta me. volcano.photobucket.com/albums/v11/Merrie/Blow%20Pics/908e8034.jpg [/img] I just really like it. He's like "Whoa, hang on a sec, lemme leave and then you can do whatever you like. What do you mean I can't leave? Oh f**k."
