hi.Sorry for not answering for such a long time.To tell you the truth I don't know which one is my favorite part of the movie. The whole movie is great. The main characters are great in it.Even Dante, thoughhe's a negative character.I like Lola too.She seems to be shallow (maybe she is,maybe she just wants to survive),but she has a heart, and eventhough sometimes she doesn't listen to her heart, she cares for suzie. The scene where Dante told the German officer that Suzie was a Jew,I could see as if the blood froze in Lola's veins.I think it just hit there then, what danger is Suzie i and if she (lola) stays with him,she would be guilty too.Of course I loved the scenes of Suzie and Cezar. They were good together. When Suzie sang on the ship.To tell you the truth i never liked the song 'Gloomy Sunday'.It was called the hungarian suicide song at that time around 1940's,and I hated it always, because suicide is not an option,it doesn't solve anything.BUT when Suzie sang it on the ship,I thought that it showed how very sad she was at that time leaving the love of her life.I'm happy that in the end she finally found her father.I was thinking a lot of what could happen to Cesar.Did he die,did he survive?did they ever meet again.what do you think?I have many other thoughts about this movie.Sorry for my bad English.See you soon.Ditte

This move is really sad, I hate how Suzie had to leave Cesar - they had a nice relationship going. Grr, I hated Dante so much. What a jerk, he acted as if he was better than everyone else and he told that officer that Suzie was Jewish. I hope Cesar was still alive after the war and Suzie went back for him.
