*blows nose loudly* How on earth could she have left him? She didn't even cry. I can tell you right now that I would be sobbing as I left that room. Her heart was broken, how could she not cry? Perhaps she has grown used to terrible things happening to her. I feel terrible for her. What an awful life she has led thus far.

Yes she'd suffered such tragedy... it was just one more thing in her life...
I couldn't believe that Lola died... I mean perhaps she wasn't the best of people... but I believe she had an overall good heart... she just knew what needed to be done for survival!

I really don't think I could have left Cesar.. I would be curious about my father and perhaps I'd go see him, but I'd definitely go back to Cesar again! She wasn't sure about anything concerning her father, so it was quite a risk to go to America. I think I would have gone with Cesar.

Yes and no are my response after watching it again.
First of all... love is worth everything in the world.
But family is so very important and you only have one.
There was a promise between father and daughter when he had to go away, and did you see the smile upon his face when she found him again? That is speechless.
Though I don't know I could leave Cesar, it definitely wouldn't be easy, I don't know I could feel good with myself not at least attempting to see my father.
I think there could have been a better way to both worlds...

Yes, you're so right about that.
It's a real dilemma. It's such a hard choice. I like to think that they somehow managed to get together again, after the war..

Yeah, me too.
I once wrote a fan fiction about that. It was so sweet.... I love thinking that somehow by some fate they got together again.

Aww.. Yes, me too.
Yes, it was a real hard decision...
But how about Cesar? He had to make a decision as well. He let her go. He chose for his family himself, they both chose for their family actually.

Very true It shows they both value the same thing... if only they could have been family and fought for each other. Married I mean Gypsy wedding would be incredible.... but I think if it worked out how we want it would have taken away from the essence and purity of the film. You know? It's so perfect

Yes, they have that in common.
Oh yes, there would be lots of music, lots of dancing. Just lots of fun!
But you're right again. It would have. *sigh* Can't they just make a sequel? Then they would come together again, get married and get children or something. Nah, I don't think I'd really like a sequel. It would just be so different. What do you think?

Yes and no.
I would love the security of seeing that, the finish..
But then we can't imagine it. What if it isn't as good as the ending in your head is?
