) Haha, there is something sexy about a Mafioso! Especailly one with a santa hat! I love this movie though, Johnny & Al work perfect together, (As I'm sure you know, Bella ) and even though there's a lot of violence, it's a different kind of violence. It's in there to show you how brutal it truly is . It makes it a lot different, I think. And yeah, the ending is really sad. I was on the verge of tears, lol. Maybe I'm just a sucker?

AHHH hehe i FINALLY got to see this movie, my dad bought the dvd, and we watched it. johnny made a GREAT mafioso, he was so hot lol this is a really good gangster movie, and i say that having seen like, 800 of them lol. me and my dad, like the italianos we are (cicily baby!), love anything mafia, and i have a few certain family members who i think, eh haha but yeah, i like mob movies that take place like in the 70's and anytime before that, cause back then, the families were more close knit than now. they had certain rules and regulations u had to follow. now, the families just whack off ppl sometimes just cause they can. johnny's movie totally showed the way it used to be run... not that it makes it right haha but hey....fuhgeddaboudit!

Watched the movie again on TNT today. I'm so glad Al Pacino played the other main character, he is just so talented! The only bad part about watching this movie on tv is that they dubb whole sentences with somebody elses voice! Johnny's dubber doesn't sound a bit like him! :censor:

No why did they dub it for TV? That makes no sense... it's already in english...
Is it perhaps since every other word is the "F bomb" and they needed to take that out so it could be on TV?

That's the reason exactly, Roo. I wouldn't want my unborn children watching that stuff. It'd be tramatizing and it'd give them ideas. I still can't believe that Donnie Brasco was made in '97. I keep on thinking it was either '99 or 2001. That's really strange, no doubt. Fuhgeddaboudit. lol. I remember getting sad at the beginning of the movie when I first watched it because I thought Johnny was going to have that mustache forever. Thank you, Lefty! You saved the audience the terribly unhappiness of seeing Johnny's mouth covered by a furry, brown toothbrush! *high-fives Al Pacino* Donnie Brasco was a really good drama. The story was true, and that's what made it heart-wretching. Poor Donnie (I forgot his real name). He'll have to live with the guilt of Lefty's death for the rest of his life. That's heavy. REAL heavy. Ah yes, the past posts are right. La Mafia es muy hottio. Especially when Johnny infiltrates the works. *swoons* -Izzy

You didn't like the stache Izzy? Ah.... I did. But he looked wonderful without it as well. My perfect world type would be somewhere in the middle... not quite that bushy. And his real name is Joseph Pistone

Oh, thanks for the reminder. I'll try and remember that this time around. And yeah, I wasn't a real big fan of the mustache. Of course, that's not to say that shaving it off altogether would be ideal... having just a light one a bit like in Secret Window is THE sexiest I can think of. On the other hand, he's drop dead gorgeous whatever the facial hair... so I guess it doesn't really matter in the end, eh?

Oh yes, how it shows through just a wee bit... Yummilicious! Doesn't get any better than that But the big mustache does something for me... But that accent does more

This movie is Wow. I loved it! I just felt REALLY bad for Lefty in the end. He trusted Donnie so much... Lefty was SUCH a loveable character. Haha I never thought I'd say that about a mob guy. It made me so sad when he said something like: "If Donnie calls, tell him that if it had to be somebody, I was glad it was him." What an amazing movie ...oh yeah, and about the facial hair...I was quite happy when the F.B.I AND Lefty made him shave it. He was SO gorgeous in this film! Fabbity fab fab!
