I balled the first time I heard Lefty say that to Anette.... I couldn't believe he was actually going to be wacked out. I loved how Sonny Black didn't believe it..... And I really enjoyed the suspense when Lefty was ready to kill Donnie in the car if he was a rat... But we know Lefty wouldn't do that. He is so sweet!

When Lefty was ready to kill Donnie in the car, I was amazed at how calm Donnie remained. He definitely was able to think fast to save himself. Definitely suspenseful. Whew! I also loved how Sonny Black didn't believe it. Joe Pistone did such a great job that not even the mob leader himself could smell a rat. Go Joe! Poor Lefty.

It's so amazing how living with the mob turned Joe into such a cameleon (sp?)
He turned into one of them.... that takes talent.
So talented.
The real Joe Pistone was incredible.
I love how Johnny gets to meet all of the people he becomes in films. (H Thompson being one more example)
How he lives near them for long to pick up on their eccentricies....

It was also amazing to see the transformation that took place in Joe throughout the movie. You can hear the differences in his language and speech when he talks to his wife.
I love the quote from his wife that goes something like:
"I thought I'd married a college man." after he says something with terrible grammar and language, like the mobsters he hung around with.
He truly did turn into one of them. I agree Roo, it was amazing!

Then what was the other quote? "You think I hate you Maggie? I don't hate you. But if I get pulled out now this man Lefty dies, because he vouched for me... I'm not turning into one of them, I am one of them" <--- Sad for Maggie and Lefty. And when he's given his award "It's over Joe, come home"

My favourite quote in this movie was the Fuhgeddaboudit scene. I can't really remember anymore, I haven't watched it in forever.
