Well at the end, Mort kills Amy and Ted, and he burys them in the garden, where corn stalks are growing now. Everyone knows he muredered them, but they can't find the bodies. So the sheriff askes him to not come to town anymore for his shopping, it made people feel uncomfortable. So at the end, he lives, and he says "When time comes, her death will be a mystery, even to me", as the camera slows goes down to the garden and to the corn stalk. And then suddenly CRUNCH you see Mort bite into an ear of corn, and then its over...I WANNA SEE IT AGAIN!! OMg like in the script for the story he is accused of stealing! It comes to life! That is such a good idea of the scriptwriter they incorparated his story about the guy who kills his wife! O I CANT WAIT 2 C IT! If you dont understand what im saying need to read the book! Thanks for filling me in HF! O and scarlett thank you for your review!

Ohh, I loved the soundtrack too!! It was very creepy, helping the suspense of the movie along by putting you into a slightly freaked out mood already without overpowering the scenes. It was just good music, pure and simple. I'd buy it if it came out! No, WHEN it comes out! ;D

I... SAW IT! ;D What a great movie! Well, yeah. It was a great movie. The ending was ... well, WRONG, but it was still good. Let me explain that better. The idea of the new ending was brilliant. Taking what happened in Mort's story and doing that is just genius. It was a absolutely what makes it so creepy. Stephen King should be smeeped he didn't do it that way. But in a way, the fact that he didn't, makes it even better. Shooter wanted Mort "to fix the ending" and that's what the screen writer did. Isn't that just a little too perfect? BUT, in a real life context, I HATE IT! I want Shooter to die and not kill Amy and Ted (even though he's a buttface)! *sigh* It bugs me that there's no real resolution. Mort/Shooter is still out there and he's still psycho. GREAT! *huge amounts of sarcasm there* Ah well. *sigh* Guess that's why it's just a story. And the ending is all that really matters. Oh, but now I cannot eat corn-on-the-cob ever again. Great. *sigh*

Every now and then I like a movie where the "bad guy" wins. If it's done right, it just leaves you feeling creeped out and glad that it was just a story! I loved the new ending--blew me away--and CC, you're so right! They did to Steven what was being done to Mort! Iiiiinteresting.

I was reading the article about Johnny in the new issue of "People", and it said that the tattered colorful robe Mort is always wearing was Johnny's idea! ;D

Oh yes. When they were looking through wardrobe, Johnny saw that robe and said, "I want to wear that through the whole movie." LOL! I can't wait to hear what other things he added to the character! ;D I loved the new ending--blew me away--and CC, you're so right! They did to Steven what was being done to Mort! Iiiiinteresting. Isn't it interesting? And I read somewhere that King gave up the rights to Secret Window so that he could have the rights to Kingdom Hospital, or something to the effect of trading one for the other. So in a way, he gave up his ending, just like Mort, for the better but meaner ending from the other writer. That's just tooooooo wierd!

Lookie here: Trivia for Secret Window (2004) Page 12 of 26 -Ving Rhames was offered a role but turned it down due to a scheduling conflict -'James Newton-Howard' was going to compose with Hans Zimmer, but when he was replaced, Hans Zimmer bowed out as well. Philip Glass and Geoff Zanelli came into the project. -The movie's premiere date was moved up a month to ride the coat-tails of Johnny Depp's success in _Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)_ which earned him a SAG award and an Oscar nomination. -Stephen King traded the rights to this film in order to get the rights to Kingdom Hospital.

Hehe, thankz CC Ooh and great news for SW: Secret Window Opens Close to Gibson's Passion Source: Coming Soon! Saturday, March 13, 2004The new Columbia Pictures thriller, Secret Window, starring Johnny Depp and John Turturro, opened to $7.1 million on Friday from 3,018 theaters. The film is the first to come close to taking over the top spot from Mel Gibson's The Passion of The Christ, which was first again with $7.8 million from 3,221 theaters. The film has now collected an amazing $240.3 million in 17 days and has moved up to #34 on the all-time domestic blockbuster list. YAY! Plus, SW opened in less theaters then "Passion", wonder how much it would have made if it came out in as many theaters as "Passion" did... And for those of you who were wondering whether or not there was a soundtrack, not yet. I've spent a few hours screwing around with sites that talk about Secret Window [i.e www.comingsoon.net/ , www.joblo.com , www.movies.com ] and it would usually just direct me to a search engine at Amazon.com, and there's "No results in this category that matches your search". Sorry guys, but I'll keep looking
