I know there's a thread discussing the merits to the trilogy, but I didn't see a thread discussing one's favorite of the 3. I felt like changing that.
I'll admit, I like the first one the most. El Mariachi was strange, funny and raw. I love that.

OUATIM got my vote, but it's hard! I love the other two as well!

*wipes brow* Phew, tough one. *giggles* Not... really. I couldn't pick any other than the third (or fourth, if you listen in on the commentary real close-like). Sands just ranks OUATIM too far up there to NOT choose it. Right. I think that's all then.

Well, I've never seen El Mariachi. And Desperado is starting to grow on me. But I've loved OUATIM from the beggining, and without it, I wouldn't have watched Desperado....hmm..... Well, I think it's come down to the fact that I think OUATIM has a better soundtrack. So it's getting my vote.

Technically, I shouldn't have voted because I've only seen OUATIM but I recorded Desperado off the TV the other day and without seeing OUATIM I wouldn't have given it a second glance so it had to get my vote ;D.

*smirk* I love minorities. Although, if I were to be really honest, OUATIM's tied with El Mariachi. Can't really vote twice though.

Well for me of course OUATIM got my number one. It was flawless and action packed... Sands is just such a perfect character, it wouldn't have been half as wonderful without him.
But as for the other two, El Mariachi got my vote!

I must admit, I liked Desperado the best. I mean don't get me wrong, Johnny was excellent as Sands in OUATIM (and totally drool worthy), but I felt OUATIM lacked the humor that Desperado had. Plus the appearances by Steve Buschemi and Quentin Tarantino didn't hurt. Both of them had me laughing almost to tears. OUATIM was a little too serious for me. It was an excellent film, Robert Rodriguez did an amazing job directing (as usual) but I just didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Desperado. Tiffany

I've actually only seen OUATIM and a part of Desperado, so my vote isn't ttly fair.. But anyways, I chose OUATIM. I really liked what I saw from Desperado as well, but I simply love OUATIM and the performances of the actors in it. Couldn't resist voting OUATIM!

I caught part of Desperado today, and I remember now how much I love that movie. It was the bar room/shoot out scene. Great stuff.

I have to agree that I liked El better in "Desperado"--there was lots more humor in his character. He got a bit too angsted out in OUATIM.

This is true. Sands got the good lines in OUATIM. However, Sands was the one angsted out at the end of that movie and El was once again confident and paying his guitar. Funny how things reverse like that.
