This week has been brutal. A dear friend of mine passed away, and my grandma is dying. She probably won't survive the night. I think I've hit my lowest low. I feel numb. It's like I'm here, but I'm not. The world is moving around me, and I'm standing still. I'm sure once it hits me... man... it's going to be hard.

BM, I am so sorry. I wish I could comfort you somehow. A brief candle; both ends burning An endless mile; a bus wheel turning A friend to share the lonesome times A handshake and a sip of wine So say it loud and let it ring We are all a part of everything The future, present and the past Fly on proud bird You're free at last. ~ Charlie Daniels wrote this for his friend, Ronnie Van Zant, to read at his funeral. I always thought it was a beautiful poem expressing a deep friendship. Maybe it will help you a little. We're all here for you.

Yesterday I learned that [one of] my best friend's dad is in the hospital and is dying. Apparently he had been told six months ago that he had six months left and did not tell anyone but his brother (I think) who lives in North Carolina.
I honestly have no clue what to do or say to my friend. =/
