While this version of the classic sci-fi show is already in its second season in the UK, we poor American's are only just now getting it on Sci-Fi channel on Fridays at 9. Needless to say, I'm already thoroughly fandomised and downloaded the rest of the season and the beginning of the second from lovely kind British people. ;D Anyway, the show revolves around The Doctor (no last name, get it? Doctor...Who?) who travels through time and space with a young modern Londoner by the name of Rose Tyler. They have adventures. Pretty straightforward, right? ;D It's a great show in the vain of such shows as Farscape, Lexx and movies like The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, ie weird but awesome. ;D Anyway, I've got a special treat for those with speedy internet connections. The first two eps as requested by many people and uploaded by me. ;D Enjoy. They should last um...another 10 days I hope. The new series with David Tennant is the second season of this same show. Christopher Eccleston didn't want to stay on for another year despite how many people said he was excellent as the Doctor. I like David Tennant, he's adorable and makes me laugh, but it's just not the same. It's like an entirely different show with the same actors--save for Chris Eccleston, that is--and sets and weirdness. *shrug* Again, it's not that I don't like this "new" show, I do and will keep watching it thanks to kind people from England willing to send me download links , it's just not the same without Chris as the Doctor. -Fiend

To each their own, I suppose. I like both actors as the Doctor. I saw the new ep and still love it. "Oh. 1879. Same difference." "We are not amused." Yeah, good stuff. ;D -Fiend

I was halfway through watching that episode but then got called for dinner I wanted to give Dr Who a try as the BBC has made such a fuss over it. I like David Tennant (afraid I don't like Christopher Eccleston, Fiend...sorry!). "We just met Queen Victoria!"

Heh no worries. I like both. ;D David Tennant is definitely one funny man. ;D Just saw him in Casanova and I laughed til it hurt. BA-yeah, the werewolf was definitely freaky! When they were trapped in the room waiting for it to get in...EEE! Heh can't wait til the next ep with Anthony Stewart Head in it, whom we silly Americans likely only know and love as Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, though I did love him before that in VR-5, but that's another story entirely. ;D Oh! And what's the story with the spinoff Torchwood with Captain Jack? Either of you know? -Fiend

Yeaaa! Thankee Jay! I'm excited for that one. I loved Jack. ;D And I'm quickly discovering that I've loved a lot of Russel T. Davies' stuff without knowing it was his! Oh and you should watch Dr Who. It's silly fun. ;D Just like Casanova was. -Fiend "Do you know what Casanova means in the original Italian? Lucky smeep."
