Ok, so I shelled out the $5 to go see it a second time. So worth it. But all the drive home, I could not stop humming and singing the music. I tried to resist, but it was not happening. My car pulled right into the Walmart parking lot, and I bee-lined for the electronic department. I quick search through the never-in-order soundtracks and I located it. I am listening to it for the first time as I type this, and let me tell you, it's hard to concentrate when in between tracks I hear Johnny's voice. What a pleasant and unexpected surprise! Oh lord, hold on, it's Sands' theme..... Holy flying cow, Johnny wrote that! For those who don't know, I am an extremely musical person, and knowing that he wrote that (and wow, is it good) has just elevated him in my eyes to...well, I don't quite rightly know how to describe it as I am under the influence of it all still. *sigh* You'll have to pardon me. I am just a blithering idiot right now. Sands and I shared a theater with only 2 other people and well it was closer and more intimate than I ever thought I'd get. I'm reeling. And now this soundtrack! Help me.

Why would we want to help you? Embrace the madness! Embrace the utter SJ-love!! ;D I abso-freakin'-lutely love that soundtrack!!! Oh man, even though it's a CD, I worry about wearing it out I've listened to it so many times!!! And SJs (Sands) Theme is a work of musical mastery, is that a word? if ever there was one. Truly great stuff. I feel obliged to share it with all of my neighbors whenever I listen to it. ie. I crank it a as loud as I can stand and leave my door open. I live in dorms so my neighbors are able to get the full benefit of SJ-ness. Ahhhh...I truely love that movie...and the soundtrack...and the poster which hangs above my bed and whispers to me at night, ... mmmm.

I love this soundtrack more then I could possibly say. After my second viewing of the film, I ran into Barnes and Nobles to get it. I love it so much, I can't stop listening to it!
Of course I am going to be biased to love Sands theme, but knowing Johnny actually *wrote* that gives me so much more respect for him. I mean he's gorgeous and he can act, but to write music that good is an incredible skill. I love the song, I love the sands, I love listening to it.
Some of my friends came over and I put on music sometimes when we're just talking and chilling in my room. So I had on the Mexico soundtrack and then came: "I can't see. I have no eyes." And my friends were on the floor laughing. They thougt it was hilarious. Of course, none of them had actually seen the movie, but they thought it was the funniest thing. I can't wait till the DVD comes out so I can show it to them. I loved their reactions, it was hilarious.
Malaguena. Oh my god Malaguena. What can I say? What *can't* I say? It is a truly amazing song, and I can't get enough of it. I'm even trying to teach it to myself on the guitar. Of course I'm failing miserably, but it's still fun to try. This song makes me want to get up and kick some as*. Not to mention the school's colorguard team does their routine to the older version of Malaguena, which is quite exciting!
Oh my Pistolero, I do hate robbing banks. I actually loved this song so much I used it as my song for my dance in dance class for our final performance of the marking period. It was so much fun, and the entire class was like "what the hell is this song?" Juno reactor is just so amazing, what they've done for Mexico AND for all the Matrix movies, they just blow me away. Make me want to dance! Woo! Come on, dance with me!

I agree on all points!
Pistolero and Malaguena are my faves so far! (Besides Sands theme, of course!) And I'm really liking the last one...Cuka Rocka. A fun version of the familiar La Cucaracha. I was also impressed by Salma Hayek on Siente Mi Amor! She sang a tad in Desperado and it was so quiet and timid...she sure surprised me on this one!

My faves, beside the always fun SJ's theme of course, I happen to be listening to it right now by the way, ;D are Pistolero, I love that song, makes me wanna dance. I hate robbing banks too Malaguena is indeed fun to listen too. Great scene in the movie too, and I absolutely love all of R.R.'s original compositions, especially 'The Man With No Eyes' and 'Chicle Boy' for obvious reasons. ;D But the entire CD is great. I listen to it from beginning to end and enjoy every minute of it. And the dialogue clips are just an added bonus!! OH!!! And i was absolutely delighted to see SJ's picture after taking the CD out of the case. Very nice.

As soon as I pulled out the cd, I just sat there staring at the box for a while. It's like "hello, put on the smeep cd already, you can still look at Sands."
I adored the voices scattered throughout the cd, so great to listen to the characters we all know and love in between some music.
Me gustas marihuana, me gustas tu, me gustas Columbiana, me gustas tu.

Gypsy, I had pretty much the same problem!! I was like, ooo SJ!! But then I had to stop myself from swooning long enough to put the CD in and actually listen to it! ;D And then the dialogue clips......mmmmm... I shouldn't have been that surprised to hear them, R.R. does this in all of his soundtracks, Desperado included, but it was still a treat to hear them.

OMG...the soundtrack. It hasn't left my walkman in two weeks, even though I bought it when it first came out. I LOVE it! I write all my OUATIM fanfiction to track 16, "El Mariachi." I think that song's quite pretty. And of course, the Sands Theme rocks planets. Johnny's so talented, in all arenas! Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

This cd is certainly whetting my appetite for the movie, I've fallen in love with it and can't stop playing it. Have packed the cover so I don't know what the songs are called. So did I miss a pic of SJ inside the CD? smeep! It reminds me a lot of Santana.
