Not quite. It's an evil stem changer. sentir- to feel siento sientes siente sentimos sentis (accent over the i) sienten The bane of all Spanish students everywhere. The stem changing verb. Hey, we learned a bit of Spansh with our music today, didn't we? Aha. Muy malo. But now I know a new verb. So it's not all malo. Muchas gracias! ;D

And here I was thinking the summer sun had killed my brain cells. Not at all malo. De nada. Maybe I should try and tackle the lyrics themselves next...

Si. Well, in a half hour effort, I've got as much of Traeme Paz as my poor brain can deliver. If it doesn't make sense, well... sorry. Spanish then English, so anyone who feels inclined can run a cross examination. No quemaras mi corazon No me desangres ladron Porque no hay nada en este mundo o mas profundo que el amor noche tras noche yo lloro y tantos dias pasaron como el cielo encendido ay mi querido te espero no me traigas tu pesar no quiero atravesar porque amor es la verdad y canto la realidad Cuando quieres regresar a mi tierra de lagrimas como la rosa encendida Ay mi querido Traeme paz You won’t burn my heart You don’t bleed me, (pet name maybe?) Because there is nothing in this world Or more profound than the love Night after night I cry And as days passed Like/As the ignited/flaming/burning/fiery sky Ay, my love, I wait for you Don’t bring me your sorrow I don’t want to cross/travel Because love is the truth And I sing the reality When you want to return To my land of tears Like/As the ignited/flaming/burning/fiery rose Ay, my love Bring me peace Something like that.

It does, but it also has just about all the basic words I need. freetranslation.com had issues with encendido (kept thinking it meant 'up' which it still could, because neither word really makes complete sense) and using Google on the other words I couldn't find, I could get a basic idea of what it said. A lot of it's just knowing the grammar and knowing verbs. I doubt freetranslation.com recognized that 'quemaras' is the 'tu' form, future tense of 'quemar'. A lot of translators don't recognize the 'tu' form because it's informal and people don't use the informal tense unless among real close friends. Kind of a pain. At any rate, if anybody is at all interested in translated lyrics, I don't mind, I've got nothing better to do over the summer (besides homework... : . If not, it's one less thing I have to do.

Great translation!!
Honestly, half the work is just figuring out the spanish words, lol. I could only make out the odd few words... but seeing it all written out, I understood a lot more of it!
Could 'encendidio' mean 'flaming' or perhaps 'burning' or even just 'fiery' ?
It kind of sounds like incendiary, eh?

It is quite possible. I'm willing to accept just about anything. It really doesn't help when the words mean different things in different situations. Maybe later tonight I'll have another song ready. It's nice to know you like a foreign song that isn't about resurrecting the devil or anything.

Maybe I meant this night tonight. I found out something very interesting though. Ladron is not actually a word at all! The site I got the lyrics from doesn’t believe in accents! Ladrón, however, means ‘thief’. It makes even less sense, but with the below translation, I now have reason to think that at least a couple words in the last song should have had accents but didn’t. The difference between ‘yes’ and ‘if’, and ‘why’ and ‘because’ is an accent (and a space in the latter bit). So, take what you will, I’m doing it as I see it, but if I can find better lyrics, I’d be more than willing to use those. But without further ado, ‘ Siente Mi Amor’. A history without time That had no end A love as ours No, neither will ever be able to die I want to be in your soul A happy moment I will love you always I will live within you In the days of pain Feel my love It will come with the wind It will come with the sun In the eyes of the gods Far from you You will see me in/on (sue?) You will feel my kisses (Wild guess here) You will hear a laugh If you should feel alone And you are in silence Think of (on) my caresses And of (on) our secrets I want to be in your soul A happy moment I will love you always I will live within you In the days of pain Feel my love
