HAHA Psnoo! Perhaps because what they do with their gloves is not quite as appealing as what Wonka does with his.*giggle*
OOO and I loved when Veruca was sucking up to Wonka and he said "Funny, I always thought a Veruca was one of those warts people get on the bottom of their feet,"

I thought of something I didn't like.
I didn't like how Mike Teavee didn't seem to like t.v. as much as he should of... seemed to smart.
Also, how Augustus was not skinner at the end.

Was Augustus supposed to be skinnier at the end? Must get my book out! **edit** Oh, yep--you're very right! He's "thin as a straw" from having gone through the pipe. Goodness.
I'll tell you my one big "Oh, come ON now!" moment was when Charlie climbed up into bed up in the rafters and cozily glances out the GAPING HOLES IN THE ROOF IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER at the factory. I was like...HUH??? Must have a force field in place to keep the snow and the cold out...

Me too DB!! How could he not get snowed upon? How could he not freeze to death? That was bizarre. I was waiting for an explanation, though none ever came. *shrug* Thats movie magic. Haha.

I just figured it was a TB thing. After all, Edward had the same roofing problem.

Good call Psnoo! I didn't even make that connection. *bad Sunny* Interesting...wonder why he did that, in either case? A window there would have been easy...haha. I am going to go see it again today! Woohoo!

I figured although its not in the book, they put it in to add to Charlie'a obsession with the factory, and give him his magical moment there

Good explanation HF..I thought the same as you. It didnt even cross my mind that that was strange in any way. hehe..oh well You know when Wonka is in Loompaland and he has his littl safari suit on and such..did anyone else get reminded of Duke during this whole scene. I dont know if its just me but..durung the whole entire scene he reminded me of Duke. Especially when he tasting the green catapillers and the guts from the bug. it looked exactly the Duke was eating that vile of drugs that his atterny gave him. I dunno...just curious if I was the only one. Oh Oh Oh and also Willy reminded me very much of Edward alot of the time as well..especially at the end when hes leaving the Bucket home and hes all sad and hes looking down..aww I wanto give him a hug.. Wel I supose all characters will remind me of others after all it is the same man..

JCD! I know exactly what you mean! Willy (or Johnny) was totally channeling the good Doctor in the scene. He had that crazy look, as it were. Obscure eyebrow movements, what not... I can't get enough. And Ms. JD, what's that about, eh? I can't think of anything unsuitable for children's eyes... well, except maybe the Wonka intro scene where all the anamatronic dolls started melting and their eyes fell out. Man did that creep me out something awful.

...Wel I supose all characters will remind me of others after all it is the same man.. LOL... I think it's just that most of us have probably watched Johnny's movies a billion and one times, and remember the smallest detail of the way he does something. oh! here we go: When Wonka was walking (down the grass hill in the candy...place) with the cane in his hand, it reminded me of the way Cpt. Jack Sparrow walked in POTC.

But some parts, I think, werent suitable for children lol hehehe..I know what was unsuitable for children..Johnny is wayyyy to Sexy for a childrens movie..but that doesnt really count now does it. Johnny was perfect in that role..but I dont really remember anything unsuitable..i think its good for kids in a sense because its basically warning them that if you are a greedy, selfish, violent, or competative kid then only bad can come of it. So its like teaching children in a way..and if you are a swet unselfish kid youll get the same in return only good can come of it. you know.

But yeah there really wasn't anything really wrong that children wouldn't get. It's not a Shrek movie that claims it's for little kids then throughs something in it like sexy man/boy Kyle. And those kids really need to learn how to follow directions. Although the little girl who played Veruca(sp?) was awesome I can't believe she could say half of that with a straight face. "Daddy, I want another pony."

I can't get enough. There was a moment or two in the movie where WW was treating a few obnoxious brats to disgusted looks that reminded me of Mort...with a lot less stubble.
