heh I have a theory on the purple eyes as to why they were purple only after he built the factory. I think it was an experiment for a candy gone wrong rather like the hair taffy but the results were permanent. Like a candy that functions as a mood ring for the eyes. I think that would be an awesome invention too. Mood rings are fun but faulty. Mood eyes would be the real deal and you'd never have to guess what kind of mood a person was in as long as you looked at their eyes.

Wow! That would be a spoggy invention, drouxl! I wonder if it's possible to make mood-contact lens thin enough... deep thoughts. Any eye doctors out there, eh? And I really like that idea about an experiment gone wrong. It makes me think of Dr. Frankenstein and his mad concoctions.

Cotton candy was what I thought..LOL! I got it on DVD the day it came out, but I am slightly bummed. I bought(so i thought)the widescreen version(says so on the box AND the disc itself) but when i played it, it WASN'T! Yeah, I did that too, and thought the same thing when I watched it on my TV. But then I watched it on my computer and it was definitely widescreen. It makes me wonder if it just isn't formatted the same as other widescreen movies. That's the best explaination I have.

That must be it. I mean, there was even a note on the back of CATCF's case which says that "this DVD is formatted in its original theatre form to best viewing" ...or somthing like that. Maybe Tim asked for it specifically?

Mood rings are fun but faulty. Mood eyes would be the real deal and you'd never have to guess what kind of mood a person was in as long as you looked at their eyes. If someone was angry their eyes would obviously be red... I think calm would be blue.... Purple would obviously be insane....

I love this movie lol. When it came out I watched it non stop for a long time haha. I love Willy's attitude and I love the squirrel part when he's 'trying' to find the key (I think he knew which key it was the whole time lol.) I also loved the part when he was imitating Veruca's dad's voice, it was hilarious. #rotfl# I like the mood ring theory too. I never would've thought of that.
