I loved his entrance too!! It was just..."Wow!!" I'm so excited because I'll be seeing it for my second time tomorrow, EEE CAN'T WAIT!! Aside from Willy Wonka, my favorite characters were Grandma Georgina and Grandpa George, they were the odd grandparents of the two. They both made me laugh out really loud and Grandma Georgina kinda reminded me of some of my friends My favorite scene has to be either the scene when the pink boat is going down the tunnel, or the second (maybe it was the third) flashback that Willy has. *SPOILER* The one where he tells his dad how he was running away to a different country to start a chocolate career, and his dad was like "I won't be here when you come back" and his townhouse was literally gone when he came back. It was so unexpected and so odd, and perfectly sad and hilarious at the same time. I can't really think of anything that I didn't like in the movie, I really can't. There was one thing that kinda left me hanging because I didn't read it in the book and it was sorta random (Maybe then its ok, being random) but it was the part where *SPOILER* they were in the glass elevator and they were passing through the room with the pink coated sheep and the Oompa Loompa's were shavnig them and Wonka goes "And here.....Actually I'd rather not talk about this room." and it just kind of left it at there. One thing I loved was when I was walking out, I heard a mom and a friend I guess talking about it, and the friend asked if Matt (assuming it's the mom's son) liked the movie, and she goes "He went 'THIS IS THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER!!'" And caught some attention for my Wonka t-shirt, I heard some people walking by saying to the person they were with that they ahd to get one for themself aswell ;D

Hey the first posts in my thread! yay! (CC is MIA... so I gues it's ok to open it anyway ) Wow... now what did I NOT like about the movie The entrance was absolutely perfect ... "Well if you are Willy Wonka shouldn't you to be up there?"..."Well if I was up there I couldn't have seen the show now could I?" There are just too many scenes that I love to even remember right now... and once everyone has seen the movie we can openely talk about it... These 2 ladies were goggling at my JD purse while I was washing my hands in the bathroom!! lol... One of them actually picked it up and said she was going to steal it... I was like... erm... I don't think so

Depp purse? Where'd you guys get Depp purses?! MUST HAVE!!! Anyhoo... I agree with HF! I assumed the sheep were the makings of cotton candy, and when Wonka didn't want to talk about it, I just didn't get it. I still don't. What else on earth could it have been? I'll have to get my copy of CATCF out and see if there's any reference there. Poor young Willy with those awful braces!!! And yet, he still had good self esteem. Cute kid.

Once again I state that I loved the whole "I can't hear you when you mumble" deal. It had me rolling in the aisles. And I loved the "It's a Small World"-esque moment. Especially it's demise :flame: Limed the cotton candy moment. And the part where young Willy is walking past all the flags and we find out where he really was.

That was halarious... the whole theatre burst out laughing at that part... it was great And about the cotton candy sheep room... I don't think it was supposed to be that big of a deal I think he was just like showing the rooms and all of the sudden there is some room with pink sheep and he's just like... erm... I don't want to talk about it... just too make willy seem even weirder (and I must say it does the trick )

What did you like about it? I liked how it was written. I loved how it was a comedy too, unlike the movie from 1971 (I think) I loved the Oompa Loompa songs and the Wonka Welcome Song. Danny Elfman, has yet again, made another brilliant score. I'm a big fan of his already, yet he keeps amazing me. I also loved the Tim Burtonesq style to it. If anyone here doesn't know, I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton and love how he usually builds sets, as oposed to CG. The chocolate room was amazing as was the squirrels, though they did scare me (I'm afraid of them, okay?) The screen play was also great. I loved the twist ending... I didn't see it coming, but I loved it.
What did you not like about it? Can't think of anything right now.
Favorite scene? The Oompa Loompa songs to start were amazing. The Wonka Welcome song was also great. I loved how all the kids got there tickets. Very cool. Also, when Charlie got his tickets. The end scene is also awesome (with the house in the factory) Also the Chocolate room scene. And the squirrel scene. I loved the whole thing.
Favorite character? I loved Willy Wonka, such a fun character. He was funny and just great.
I've seen it 3 times.... wow. Opening weekend.
And it was awesome in IMAX.

It was AWESOME!!!! Oh WOW! I laughed sooo hard. I LOVED the Oompa Loompas, and Johnny made a perfect Willy Wonka! The squirrel scene had me in stitches, and I LOVED how whenever Mike TV said something that Willy didn't want to hear, he would accuse him of mumbling. Haha. WOW! Must see it again! I loved the purple rubber gloves.

I wonder why the purple rubber gloves that nurses wear aren't nearly as cool as Willy's.
