*yoinks thread up* Ahem, I just wanted to point out that we are all quite used to calling Elizabeth, "Lizzie." But did anyone notice that Jack actually called her this? I thought that was rather funny. I think I did notice. That was the bit where she's moping and he offers her rum and pleasurable company, right? Have you noticed the mayhem in your thread, CC? #whistle#

Okay, mild spoilerish alert. It's nothing that hasn't been mentioned earlier on in the thread though.
So, all the bad blood between Jack and Beckett all started when Jack refused something about a job involving slaves. Correct?
And at the end of PotC II, we have a bayou full of black people/African Americans holding a candlelight vigil and looking as if they're mourning Jack's passing.
And Jack's relationship with Tia Dalma seems to have started long before CotBP.
Think I'm off base to assume where those slaves ended up?

Nice one Psnoo. I would have to agree with you there. That makes perfect sense. Along those lines.... I downloaded a POTC:DMC chest game on my cell phone and it has a little bit of extra back story involved in it... namely Jack gets the compass from Tia Dalma. I'm not sure if it's a credible source for back story, but everything else in it seemed to line up.

Oooh, that is interesting. Makes perfect sense to me, Psnoo. Jack does value freedom above all things.

I loved this movie! ;D I loved the cannibal scene on the island, it was pretty funny. Jack makes a pretty good looking shish kebab lol. The music sounded funny when Will and the crew were swinging in the cages, it sounded like circus music. I've seen this movie a million times and I never thought that Tia Dalma was the one that broke Davy's heart. I feel really stupid now. I felt so bad for Will when he saw Liz kiss Jack, he looked so sad. I think he needed a hug. I couldn't believe it when I saw Barbossa coming down the steps afterwards. By the way CC, Jack did get the compass from Tia Dalma. When he showed her the picture of the key, she said something like, "The compass you bartered from me can't lead you to this?" It was also funny how Jack stole rings and stuff when he was at Tia Dalmas'.
