Heh, and I notice that little Turner's name is yet again, William. Good strong name. Probably named for his father and grandfather, eh? He needs a nickname...

Billy. Let's nickname the little lad Billy. Dang - do you know how many fanfics that's going to spawn? What with Liz and Will's son and Jack's previously undiscovered and variously named (depending on the author) daughter?

Jack having children is too bizarre a concept for me What would we do without fanfics? ;D

Actually, considering how Jack acts around the female population, I'm surprised he doesn't have a passel of children running about in various ports.....

Well, I just got back from seeing AWE for the first time...and all I can say is OH MY GODDDD.. it was AWEsome! I loved every second of it, with the exception of the 50 foot Tia Dalma/Calypso.. thought that was a bit cheesy. And I was RIGHT about her being Jone's lost love..whool hoo! I have found a certain respect now for both Jones and Barbossa. Jones didn't start out being evil..until Calypso did what she did to him... I can now understand why he was so bitter. Barbossa... I think I now like him just a little because in a way he reminds me of Jack.. he's on your side when its in his best interest to be....but he TOOK THE SMEEPIN PEARL AGAIN , SMEEP IT!!! The whole LIz/Will thing and Will ulitmatly becoming the new Captain of the Dutchman sort of made me sad in a way... but I am also understanding WHY they made him stab the heart..he and Liz were meant for each other after all..even for just every 10 years. I am glad she did not wind up with Jack. He's too much of a free spirit to be with one woman.. BUT...I absolutely LOVED it when Liz went to kiss him for helping her and he kinda pushes her away and says.. 'Once was enough, thank you..' (just paraphrasing..I know that's not the exact line) and last but not least... the mulitple Jacks and some of them SHIRTLESS... I loved every frame of this movie and I cannot wait to own the DVD so I can pick it apart and get every little detail..

Speaking of shirtless Jack's, did you all get a load of those tattoos? I mean, whoa! Jackie sure has a weird imagination... kinda like JA, actually.

I wonder how long it took to put those tattoos on him and how long it took for them to come off. Do you think they were henna?

I'll bet they were either make-up or temporary tattoos. You know, that would've been an interesting day on the set, eh? Just Johnny doing different versions of Jack doing all sorts of odd things... would've loved to see that. Cool, NE! I have that same one... and a dead man's chest key one as well. Now I want one that's a piece of eight.

Here's a question for you: since when did cutting your heart out become a requirement for captaining the Dutchman? Jones didn't have to cut his heart out. That was made obvious in DMC (by Tia Dalma) and in AWE (by Will). Jones willingly cut his heart out to stop the pain of love betrayed. Tia Dalma also implies in AWE that Jones chose to cut out his heart rather than leave it in her possession despite how much it hurt.
Yet everyone also keeps saying that whoever captains the Dutchman must cut out his heart. Couldn't someone Captain the Dutchman without putting his heart in the chest. If the Dutchman only needs a heart, why can't it remain in the captain's body...which is where I assume Jones kept his for the first ten years of his reign.
So what is going on with this?
